Fargo/Moorhead (a smaller version of twin cities) and surrounding suburbs is over 200,000 so much smaller than what I was used to. But I prefer it here to the large metro area...except that most of my friends and family live in the Twin Cities and I am over 250 miles away. ;)
So annoying about the medication not being in. But the AREA that we live in....used to be a bunch of little towns....has all become one huge conglomeration with nearly half a million now. It stinks. When I was around 10, I knew directions to any street in our town. Back then, all the names were in alphabetical order with words to the north of central and letters of the alphabet to the south. Numbers went east and west with odd on one side and even on the other. Simple. Now, who knows where streets are??? There are too many different subdivisions and they all have weird names. And the traffic is awful. You cannot cross I-35 on foot EVER...not even at 3 in the morning. That wasn't the case when I was young.

I used to work in a drug store/gift shop in the 70's and 80's. The good thing about not having your drug on the day you come in for it is when it comes in, you KNOW it's fresh! There's always a sunny side if you look hard enough. :) Hope they get it in before you run out. If not, call your doctor...maybe he has some samples you can HAVE. My mom has gotten a lot of samples from her primary physician. It has saved her some money! And sometimes I miss a day:) I know the area you speak of....very similiar to my own hometown...fractured...broken up. The city continues to shrink in population. The only ones who stay are the poor because they can't leave. When I was in high school, one third of the kids were on food stamps. Today over half get some kind of government help with their meals. Very sad. I moved from my small town of Two Rivers because the people were stuck in their ways. I couldn't be around that and it scared me.....that I'd die trapped in a place unwilling to change. Today I go home and love every minute spent with my family and outdoors. But I never regret the decision I made so many years ago about coming out to Tucson.

I hope you're feeling better from the past couple weeks. Stay warm. I enjoy your daily thoughts and reflections. I cannot tell you the number of times the pharmacy did NOT have mom's meds and we had to go out of town for them too. Our town is much like your old one, only the ones who are older or built their businesses up are still around. Everyone knows everyone's personal business which I don't care for at all. Sad thing when a town can only handle one grocery store and ONE fast food place.. pretty sad. Hope your week ahead goes well and without the white stuff too!!
