all over again. When I was young the days passed so slowly. Now the months fly by and I barely have time to complain about the bitter cold of winter when all of a sudden it is the scorching heat of summer.
This week will be a very busy week for me. I will be happy to see it pass quickly with nothing new for me to think about. I have appointments for the next 3 days, actually 2 tests tomorrow back to back. Then Wednesday the procedure. If you are inclined towards kind thoughts or prayer I would appreciate them.
It is a beautiful morning, bright sunshine but still cold in the 30s. It is to reach the upper 50s today. We are below average on precipitation here because there was so little snow last winter and the spring rains have mostly passed us by. So we could use a few inches of rain. I know the farmers need some.
My daughter and son in law stopped by after church yesterday to eat with me. We had roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, green beans and banana pudding. It was all good. I am limited on what I can eat for the next two days so I sent the leftovers home with them.
After they went home I ran the vacuum sweeper and dusted the furniture. Just trying to keep busy.
I hope you all have a great week. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
I did my usual house cleaning here too yesterday. Someone-when she wasn't climbing walls assisted with the clean bed linens. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYes, time flies like the old cartoon illustrations of rocket trails!

I am so inclined, thoughts and prayers on your way. The meal sounds so good. I have a roast in the freezer but now will wait until Jack is back from hunting.
ReplyDeleteI will always be in your corner Beth! We need the rain as well and we got some last night. And by that I, of course, mean, rain. It started about 4 or 5 yesterday and ended around 10 this morning.
ReplyDeleteEvery year that passes makes a year worth a smaller and smaller fraction of your life. At the age 2 one year is half your life. At 50, a year is one 50th of your life. Sucks, doesn't it?
By the way I'm enjoying the music.
Yes, time certainly seems to go by faster the older we get. Maybe that's why I enjoy each one more now than I did back when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well for you this week with the doctor visits and tests. I have said a prayer for you!! : )
Have a great week, Beth, even thought it is a busy one. Also I hope your tests go well, and the procedure is successful. Be well my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderfully cool morning here...perfect for walking, so that is just what we did. I wish I could have eaten with you yesterday....I had Taco Bell....when will I ever learn that I don't like Taco Bell anymore? I would much rather have had a home cooked meal!
ReplyDeleteI will be including you in my prayers along with Moannie and Nancy. Hugs.
I know you are not looking forward to all those appointments. It will pass and keeping busy helps. I pray everything will go smoothly for you. Stay on the sunny side of life! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI will pray for you with that procedure coming up my friend. Grace, grace, grace to you in that. It's been incredibly warm for us...near ninety today they say but I see a cool down coming as of Friday. Bless you my friend, you're always on my heart.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with every appointment and you're in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get back up into the 70s again up here, so maybe it will head your way. :)
Time flies when you're having fun... Right?
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well with your procedure!
Prayers going up, Beth. We left mom's a day early to avoid having to travel in the nor'ester the weather guessers were calling for. What a shock, after a week of warm weather at the beach waking up to freezing temps and spittin' snow this morning!
ReplyDeleteHello, Beth!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to meet you. I saw you were a new follower so came by to meet you. I became a follower of yours, too.
Silly me, I thought for a moment I had changed something on my blog as we both have the same background from 'The Cutest Blog on the Block!' Guess we were meant to meet!
God bless you, and I look forward to getting to know you better, Beth!
Blessings,
Donna

Beth dear, next time you have left-overs from such a gorgeous sounding lunch, send them this way please. Sending you kind thoughts and good wishes for the week ahead. XX
ReplyDeleteThe older we get, the faster time seems to go, I believe this to be true. After all, there is the parallel adage that, "Time flies when you are having fun." But as we age, time flies whether we are having fun or not.
ReplyDeleteWith the age of technology we seem to see our lives flash by even more so by the millisecond. There now seems to be a requirement for immediate response. I remember the day when one would post a letter and wait expectantly, a couple of weeks perhaps for a response. Now life does not seem to have many areas that require one to look forward with anticipation. Children often get what they want, when they want it. Email, twitter, facebook, and other means of social networking have changed the way we communicate with one another. Life moves quickly. Babies still take 9 months, for now. Everything else, like big purchases, people just finance it. No waiting around to save for it. We work longer to pay for things we don't need. I believe it is those days without work, without the internet, without social networking, without television, that I'm spending time with my loved ones, that time slows down for me.
I am really hoping that your appointments go well. I have faith that they will. If I could give you one thing in my whole life, it would be the gift of confidence. You are are 'strong' lady. Stop denying it and start believing it.
