This is the way I roll..

was written in white  letters with the Pillsbury dough boy and seen on blue flannel lounging  pants in a doctor’s office in Peoria this morning.  I about fell out of my chair viewing the outfit this gal had on.  In addition to the dough boy lounging pants she had a t-shirt on with a saying I couldn’t make out.  She had on a thin hooded jacket with a crisscross pattern on it.  I love to watch people.  It is a favorite pastime of mine when I am in a waiting room somewhere.

After the doctor’s office we ate at Wild Berries.  I had hot roast beef sandwich with chicken noodle soup and a small cheesecake dessert with strawberry topping.

I am thinking about my friends in the Northeast and praying that you all will be safe in the storm.  Please keep us updated!

  1. Don't you just wonder what people are thinking when they wear outfits like that. I hope the doctor's visit went well.

  2. Hi Beth, It just drives me crazy in the way some people dress! I don't understand why some need to wear their pants around their back side with underwear showing. Your lunch sounds yummy. We have about 4 inches on the ground so far. Hugs, Anna

  3. Yes the idea that NOW people wear their PJ'S outside all the time is disturbing. I don't think it is as bad as seeing blue jeans down and underwear hanging out though..Times sure have changed. Hope you stay well and warm. :-) XOXO

  11. I hope your doctor appointment went well.
I am a people watcher as well. Hubby and I just came home from the store. I told my husband some people must not have mirrors in their homes. Ha! I just don't understand putting on clothes that must be so uncomfortable because the clothes look at least two sizes too small! People are funny!
I haven't had good roast beef in a while now. Your lunch sounds so good! Have a great weekend!

  17. A cute story Beth! It is just starting to snow here at the jersey shore. It's 9 pm. I think the rain is the bigger problem, flooding areas that have yet to recover from sandy!

  18. Funny people watching is always fun. It has been snowing here in Eastern Ontario all day and the drifts are up t the windows in some parts. I like it but it is Friday night and I do not mind being snowed in. All is well. It sure is pretty. B

  19. I am never shocked by anything people wear anymore. Our dress code where I work strictly prohibits any cleavage from showing, but all day long, I see my co-workers who are young just about falling out of their blouses. I mean, come one...if you want to dress like that to go out and dance, that's your business, but work is something entirely different. I see people all day long coming to see doctors in pajama bottoms and tshirts...and either flip flops or house shoes. It's ridiculous....well, unless they are so sick they couldn't muster up the energy to change, but when they don't act sick, I doubt that is the case.

The snow came down very gently about 15 inches, but today is just a beautiful day with the sun shining on the snow.

Even in the the thirties it was tough to get things, but sure didn't dress like now!
have a great weekend Hugs Margaret

  25. I sometimes have students come to school in the Pajamas! Really?? One time one of my daughters wanted to go somewhere in her pajama pants because all of her friends were (or so she said). My husband told her to change right then and there. I remember him saying "we are Joneses and Joneses DO NOT go out unless fully dressed in proper clothes." She was always fully and modestly dressed after that and is even now as an adult. Stay warm and have a good Sunday!

  28. I get to see some unusual outfits in my line of work. I also have noticed among that belts are out of vogue. As a result I have seen two embarrassing episodes. One young lady was not amused at everbody elses amusement when she had a very embarrassing episode.
As you know I have been busy the last couple of days. Today, Sunday is a beautiful, sunny day. Cold but not a cloud in the sky. Yesterday there were a couple.
