and bitter cold at 18 degrees right now and very windy. I am just home from the dentist where I had the crown set on one side and a loose filling replaced on the other side. Total cost for the dentist this month, $1103.00. Nothing but soup today.
Yesterday I was gone from 8:30 AM till almost 3PM to two doctor appointments. I was so tired when I came home that I just flopped down and watched the Arias trial. No computer at all.
I do not believe in the death penalty. I think someone eligible for the death penalty would suffer more if given life sentence with no chance of parole. And I do think Jodie Arias should be convicted and thus sentenced. The one good thing that our disgraced former governor George Ryan did for the state of Illinois was to abolish the death penalty. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/illinois-16th-state-abolish-death-penalty/story?id=13095912
This will be another day of rest, in fact I think it will take me a week to get caught up. lol
Have a peaceful day. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
doctors and dentists and brrr!!!
ReplyDelete18 degrees on the first day of spring...crazy.
ReplyDeleteBeth I am also against the death penalty. Thank you for sharing your stance. We are in the minority that's for sure.
crazy cold and windy here also-hope you recover from all the appointments-that had to take a toll going 2 days in a row.
ReplyDeleteSoup sounds good to me..cold this day..rest up and take care of yourself.. XOXO
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, Beth!
ReplyDeleteWow! No wonder I haven't been to the dentist in two decades!!!
ReplyDeletehi there Beth, snap! as in I went to the dentist yesterday, not snap in the breaking of teeth... Two fillings in my case.... and the needle for anesthetic was the worst part. BUT wow... what a price you pay for looking after your teeth, in my case it was about £50. Hope you're feeling rested my friend and that the soup was lovely and tasty. I've just had a prawn omelette... Nice and soft to eat... Take care and bye for now... Hugs aplenty... xPenx
ReplyDeleteI watched a fascinating documentary once upon a time. I think it was called "At The Deathhouse Door." I know I got it from Netflix. It focused on the retired chaplain from the prison in Texas where they execute more prisoners than any other prison in the country. He said that if prisoners are given life and put in solitary confinement that they suffer far more than if they're executed. He also said these prisoners beg to be executed. I don't believe in execution because where there's life, there's hope. If people are killed, then they have no chance to repent.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I don't believe in the death penalty either, but I do think jail has got to be more unpleasant for inmates. Now...about that dentist bill.......OUCH!!!!
ReplyDeleteblessings, Joanne
Happy Spring! At least the dentist is over with!!
ReplyDeleteI do believe in the death penalty.
OH goodness hun that is a heck of a bill and then docs the previous day too :( Hope you take it easy today.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Joanne I think jail should be more unpleasant.
Will this winter ever end.
ReplyDeleteTake care. Hugs Nita
Yo be honest, I have mixed feelings about the death penalty. Sorry about the medical stuff!
ReplyDeleteOh Beth take care and rest. That is a lot of money for teeth isn't it too bad but we need our teeth. HUGS B
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take much time in the dentist office to add up the dollars, does it? I hope you had a good day of rest,Beth. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOuch! Well, at least you are helping put milk and bread on the dentist's table.:-) What a shock to the pocketbook!
ReplyDeleteRest well!
xo Nellie
I do hope your mouth will heal quickly. I just recently got a crown and I know how sore/tender your mouth can be.
ReplyDeleteJohn and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Prosecutor in the Arias trial.
Hope you rest well and feel better soon.
It adds up quickly! I've spent a bunch on my son's braces!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great rest of the week. :)
Not the best way to use up a day and the cost makes it worse.
ReplyDeleteWe rest at a balmy 43 degrees...yuck...I guess I should be thankful but that's just not the case. Frankly there are times when the death penalty is actually better then life in prison but that's just my opinion. I think of a person that's a danger to the guards and other inmates being around for many years and I just don't think that's a good deal...glad I've not had to decide such things.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very interesting day Beth not:)
ReplyDeletehope all went well for you.
Sheila xx
Bloody hell that is a lot of money to spend on your teeth but it is the same everywhere costs a small fortune to visit the dentist here too......which is why I was glad that I didn't have to pay when I had all my dental work done along with getting my partial fake teeth.
ReplyDeleteI hope the cost of the dentist was well worth it Beth and you don't have any more problems for some time, One could hardly afford to pay money like that too often. Keep well and warm.
