It has been quite awhile since I listed things I am thankful for.
1. My faith…
2. My family…
3. My friends, including my blogging family…
4. And last, but not least, I was able to get out of bed this morning.
I really am thankful for so many things. Each time I pick up a book I am thankful for my sight as reading is such a joy for me. I am thankful for my WV sister who calls me 2 or 3 times a day just to make sure I am still living. There is no other living person that worries so about my well being. I am thankful for my daughter who goes with me to all of my out of town doctor appointments; and for my son who checks in with me every 3rd day just to make sure that mom is among the living. And oh, so many more things to be thankful for. I think you all know what I mean.

I have been out early this morning, to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and to Kroger to get some groceries.
It is a damp chilly morning at 31 degrees with more rain forecast for later today.
My furnace thermostat is flashing the numbers this morning. I am waiting now for maintenance to come and change the battery.
I hope you are all having a great day. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Beth, Make the maintainance man show you how to do the battery and reset. You do not want to be without heat just yet.:):) I am thankful everyday I can get up and enjoy life too. Wishing you the best today .xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWith all that's going on in this world we tend to forget all we have to be thankful for. Love this, thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteYes, ma'am....I do know what you mean...for all these things and more, I am grateful, too. (of course, I don't have a sister, but if I did, I would be grateful for her!)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if our digital thermostat uses a battery...we've only had it since July.
Sometimes it really puts everything in perspective to just sit back and realize all of the things we have to be thankful for doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou have great family support! Thanks for the reminder of all we have to be grateful for on this Thursday! Stay warm. We will be up in the 90s today in Arizona...too early to be so hot, but I am thankful for a beautiful, sunny day!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to have folks checking in. I haven't heard from my family in about two weeks. They live less than a mile down the road. Guess this works both ways. Yup, I'll give them a call soon. All this to say that you really have an attentive family. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteOh Beth I am so happy you have support and love like that. Have a great day my friend:) Hugs B
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for you, and thankful that Elvis Aaron Schwarz checks on me two or three times every day.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
AMEN what Janie said too... we are thankful for you Sis.. you are one very special lady and well loved by us all. Cherish your friendship Sis..XOX always.. :-)

You do have much to be grateful for as we all do. This is a wonderful reminder Beth. I care about YOU!
ReplyDeleteYou know life can change on a dime - so appreciating it is a great thing. sandie
ReplyDeleteI love your list of blessings.. Same as mine.. We just never know, life is short.
ReplyDeleteI think we all have a lot to be grateful if we just take the time to think about it. Mario says thank you for reading is blog and making comments and I appreciate them on my blog too (which is sadly being neglected).
ReplyDeleteHi Beth! What a cheerful blog, and I really needed this today! It's not often that I'm not cheery and happy, but every once in a while I get a little down, too. I know that some sunshine and warm temps would really help a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteSo good to know you have people checking on you, and I agree about our wonderful blog friends, which I certainly include you as one of mine!
I check into your blog every day, but I don't often leave a message as your subjects are not always ment for men. My oldest sister calls me once a month just to make sure I'm still around. My other siblings call me once a year. I call them every so often to make sure they are still around as well.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.
ReplyDeleteYes you have much to be thankful for..I hate the phone..I would ask for emails instead:)
ReplyDeleteWell Beth I've had better days and I've had worse days so I guess I had a day. I hope to have many more. Of course I wish the same for you Beth.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome for the verses! Taking time to be grateful is a wonderful practice. How about that Illini game? WooHOo!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a lot to be thankful for-and so do I. Thanks for the reminder to appreciate all that I have- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have things to be thankful for! I am spoiled today in that it nearly hit seventy degrees...it was overcast but thee warmth cheered me mightily. Bless you my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely family Beth , my sister rings me and vice versur, every two days. It's good to have those that care for you , hope you get boiler up and running.
