I am so proud of Mainstream Services, Inc. My niece was one of the original founders and is the current Executive Director.

I am in the waiting mode here for the storm. We have received the freezing drizzle and my car is ice covered. We have a near 100 % chance of 3 – 6 inches of snow today on top of this. I hope it all fizzles out!
I have a pot roast in the oven with carrots and potatoes so I am good to go in the eating department.
I hope it is sunny and warm where you are. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
that is a wonderful organization, you have a very talented niece, take care in the storm, good day to snuggle in!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are feeling rebellious today, aren't you? Near 100% chance of 3-6 inches of snow and you hope it fizzles out....I would say you are bucking the system. :) You definitely should be proud of your neice. I had a mentally handicapped cousin that was 2 years older than me. She worked at a restaurant for several years washing dishes. She was fully capable of working...she had a ten year old mentality, and ten year olds can do easy jobs. Good for your neice that she saw the capbilities in these people. They need to feel needed, too.
ReplyDeleteA pot roast is a good way to wait out a storm :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was going to mention the weather, but then I read you had roast in the oven and my stomach started growing (and it's only 8:45 a.m.!!)!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great video-what a wonderful thing they are doing!
ReplyDeleteThe sun is trying to come out now, but it's been raining almost non-stop for a couple of days. I dislike the rain because the gloomy weather makes me more depressed, the dogs don't want to go out, and my back yard turns into a pond. If I had little dogs, they would drown.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Beth, thank you for letting the world see Mainstream. The "kids" are wonderful and there they get a chance to be "normal". So on behalf of Mainstream. Thanks, your sister Rae
ReplyDeleteHope you're staying safe in the storm with all the ice!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you neice is involved in a program like that. We are living in sort of a bubble..all the weather we should usually get everyone else is getting right now...I still don't know what to make of it.
ReplyDeleteQuite an accomplishment for your niece! You have every reason to be proud!
ReplyDeleteI'd say you have a most delicious aroma at your place! Pot roast with vegetables - great for a cold winter day!
I hope you will come through the storm all right. xo Nellie
ohh, don't like the sound of your weather at all, hope it improves for you soon Beth.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your pot roast.
Hugs Nita
