Yesterday was filled with many thunderstorms, breaks of sunshine and copious amounts of rain. It rained harder than it has rained since I moved here. We were under a severe thunderstorm warning until 2 AM. We have had over 4 inches of rain so far this month. Our rain deficit is shrinking very nicely. It was still pouring rain and lightning and thunder when I went to bed at 10PM.
I have been out this morning to the bank and grocery shopping. Buying up all of the good buys. Lots of good things to eat, strawberries, Fuji apples and chocolate pinwheel cookies, etc. I can’t believe the price of those pinwheel cookies. On sale for $3.97 a package. I rarely buy them but today I gave in to temptation.
Other than the above mentioned I have done nothing. I am settling in to watch the Arias trial
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
yay for much-needed rain! hope it did not cause too much damage to your area.
ReplyDeleteIt rained here like crazy this morning...I even wrote a post about it when I woke up!! That chocolate looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI remember Pinwheels. I haven't had one in years. Now I'm longing for that chocolate marshmallow goodness.
ReplyDeleteLove,

ha ha - Thanks Beth, the first thing I saw on my reader was that delicious looking cookie. Now I have a bad hankering for a cookie with chocolate. I may have to make a stop later today. Raining here - snow and sleet coming tonight. Spring will come!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the pinwheels. Haven't had one of those in years. Weather here isn't good either, but you being not that far away our weather patterns are usually pretty close.
ReplyDeleteOh I have a severe weakness when it comes to those beautiful and delicious pinwheels. They are about 5.00/bag here but they are a wonderful treat.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
I stopped buying cookies because I can't control myself. I can't eat one or two (with milk natch.)I would eat the entire package in two or three sittings. That was 30 pounds ago.
ReplyDeleteOh My-Those cookies look good! I have never had a pinwheel cookie but I would be afraid to start eating them for fear I couldn't stop. Hop eyou have a great day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI'll trade you my snow for your rain. :)
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look so good!
I notice the storms have been really severe for many people...I don't envy anyone that but I'm sure it does ease the rain deficit. Here it's incredibly windy and the reports look like cold is coming back yet again. I've been eating Jonagold apples until they come out my ears! They are my absolute favorite apple ever. May it keep the doctor away!
ReplyDeleteI remember those pinwheels!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! It would not be good for me to have those pinwheels in the house! Yum! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteI've never had a pinwheel but they sure look good!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had those cookies in years! Will have to check out the grocery store for some. We have had rain, thunder, and a little hail! Darn crazy weather!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore those cookies! Haven't had one in years! Hope you enjoyed them. Glad you're all okay with the storms. They were bad here also Wednesday night.
ReplyDeletePinwheel biscuits, can't recall seeing those from a long time in the supermarket, but I must look as the photo of the two looks tasty. Love to hear the thunder, see the lightening and watch the rain.
ReplyDeleteSis got cookies like that at our local DOLLAR store and they were no where near that price..I think Walmart has them cheaper too. I haven't had one in a long time. Rained all night here too and then not much today. Glad the ground had time to soak some up. Was a very noisy night. More to come it is SPRING and that comes with it I guess. Take care XOXO
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting rain and the deficit is shrinking. We got a foot of snow but guess we will take the moisture any way we can get it.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting to 90 degrees! No rain yet, but plenty of humidity!
ReplyDeleteI have a cookie monster in the house. I bake him chocolate cookies at least once a week. :)

ReplyDeleteMind you Beth those Cookies look good indeed , hope you enjoy them. Hope the weather improves for you soon .Still a little chilly here.
