Thursday aftermath…

Yesterday was filled with many thunderstorms, breaks of sunshine and copious amounts of rain.  It rained harder than it has rained since I moved here.  We were under a severe thunderstorm warning until 2 AM.  We have had over 4 inches of rain so far this month.  Our rain deficit is shrinking very nicely.  It was still pouring rain and lightning and thunder when I went to bed at 10PM.

I have been out this morning to the bank and grocery shopping.  Buying up all of the good buys.  Lots of good things to eat, strawberries, Fuji apples and chocolate pinwheel cookies, etc.  I can’t believe the price of those pinwheel cookies.  On sale for $3.97 a package.  I rarely buy them but today I gave in to temptation.

Other than the above mentioned I have done nothing.  I am settling in to watch the Arias trial

Stay safe and be happy!!

  7. I stopped buying cookies because I can't control myself. I can't eat one or two (with milk natch.)I would eat the entire package in two or three sittings. That was 30 pounds ago.

  10. I notice the storms have been really severe for many people...I don't envy anyone that but I'm sure it does ease the rain deficit. Here it's incredibly windy and the reports look like cold is coming back yet again. I've been eating Jonagold apples until they come out my ears! They are my absolute favorite apple ever. May it keep the doctor away!

  20. Pinwheel biscuits, can't recall seeing those from a long time in the supermarket, but I must look as the photo of the two looks tasty. Love to hear the thunder, see the lightening and watch the rain.

  21. Sis got cookies like that at our local DOLLAR store and they were no where near that price..I think Walmart has them cheaper too. I haven't had one in a long time. Rained all night here too and then not much today. Glad the ground had time to soak some up. Was a very noisy night. More to come it is SPRING and that comes with it I guess. Take care XOXO

  22. Glad you are getting rain and the deficit is shrinking. We got a foot of snow but guess we will take the moisture any way we can get it.
