We are having flooding along the Illinois River in central Illinois that has broken records over 100 years old and to top it off we are predicted to get another inch of rain today.

We have some flooding here too located near the river. Not anywhere near me, thank Heaven. http://www.pantagraph.com/news/state-and-regional/illinois/flooding-leads-to-evacuation-of-two-dozen-pekin-homes/article_384f1656-ab7c-11e2-b703-0019bb2963f4.html
It is dreary here at 53 degrees this morning and the rain is to start by afternoon.
I am getting set to run a couple of errands and then to watch the Arias trial which hopefully is winding down as my mind is getting a bit scrambled from it.
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
I hope you stay safe. I've been watching the news at the record breaking rain fall, I hope everyone stays safe.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day in!
Hope you stay dry and well! Enjoy the trial.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth
ReplyDeleteTake care, such unusual happenings everywhere.
Hugs Nita
The weather has been so difficult this winter/spring. Hope you dry up soon. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThis weather seems to be getting to everyone. We keep a daily check on the river here. It's high but has went down a little. It's the rain coming today that we'll have to watch. You keep safe and dry.
ReplyDeleteGlad your in a safe and more dry spot-this flooding and other occurences are really making life difficult for a lot of people-hope the tide turns to "normal" weather soon.
ReplyDeleteThis whole river flooding is so scarey! I worked at a restuant on the Illinois river for years. The pictures taken from their are just amazing! I hope Peoria fairs well from the flooding!

Beth, Glad you are still dry and safe. It's scary for so many. Our small town has many going througha rough time. The governor and our mayor did talk about some releif help. That trial has seemed endless. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThe flooding is devastating. So glad you are not near the river.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and dry.
i hate the wide-spread floods this year!
ReplyDeleteLast year drought, now floods. Good grief! Stay warm, safe & dry!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what change will happen within a year's time. I'd get that inflatable raft ready:)
ReplyDeleteWow, we are worlds apart from that kind of weather. I hate to see such things knowing that it causes so much grief for so many people. It remains to be seen what we'll end up with once it actually decides to behave like spring.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of you earlier when I saw the news on the flooding. Hope all is well and the river doesn't get too out of control!
ReplyDeleteBe safe Beth Hug B
ReplyDeleteIt rained all weekend. My backyard is a pond. Our streets flood when it rains. Drainage is very poor in this area.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Glad you are staying "high and dry." Hopefully the approaching rain will not be too heavy. Take care of yourself, Beth. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteOh, Beth, I'm glad your home is safe. Praying for the others. We have rain today and tomorrow, too.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching this flooding news online. I don't see much about it on the mainstream media. I know that flooding is a bugger and I'm so glad that it's not near your home. Your header is beautiful with the magnolia blossoms. May the water subside very soon without the area going into a drought. It's a fine line, I suppose. Your watching the trial reminds me of the summer I spent watching the OJ trial. Did you watch that one?
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe Beth it's heartbreaking all the awful floods around the World.
ReplyDeleteChilly here today not at all warm..9c
Enjoy your day Hugs Sheila x
All the flooding is so scary. We had alot of rain here last night and early this morning. Glad you're ok, Beth!
ReplyDeleteTammy
I hope the flooding isn't too bad. We're about to deal with it up here, too.
ReplyDeletethe weather is crazy! I've just gotten over a three day sinus headache. Thought I would have to make a visit to the doctor, but I'm all better now. :)
