Wild Berries, Peoria Illinois

011

After a visit to one of my doctor’s yesterday my daughter and I stopped at Wild Berries for a late breakfast.

We had a lovely waitress.  I hope I am remembering her name right as Amber.  I apologize to her if I have her name wrong.  She gave me permission to use her picture on my blog.

First for me a cup of coffee with Irish creamer.  I am not supposed to have caffeine so it was a treat.

You can see I like catsup on my hash browns.

Sausage gravy biscuit.  I ate about half of the hash browns, most of the
biscuit/gravy and about 3 bites of the eggs and one piece of bacon.

The food is really good here.  I had just had some worrisome news at the doctor’s office and it took away my appetite.  My daughter really enjoyed her breakfast.  She had cinnamon roll French toast with scrambled eggs which looked really good.

I am off to get a CT scan this morning.  I will catch you all when I get back.

Have a wonderful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Breakfast anyone?

My breakfast…at Wild Berries

003

My daughter’s breakfast…

Contrary to popular opinion I did not have a colonoscopy this morning.  I had a renal ultrasound to check my kidneys and the arteries leading to my kidneys for blockage.  The day before diet and no breakfast are so the technician doesn’t have to listen to gas on your stomach.  Have you ever noticed that the blood pumping when they are doing an ultrasound sounds like an ocean?

I didn’t eat but a small part of my breakfast.  One piece of bacon, a few bites of the eggs and biscuits and gravy.  My daughter who is young and healthy polished off every bite of hers.

Stay safe and be happy!!

Thursday and..

no need to wonder what I needed to do today.  My BP has been spiking all week which is unusual for me.  This meant a trip to Peoria this morning to see my kidney/BP specialist.  I will have a kidney ultrasound at Peoria OSF one week from next Tuesday.  Then it will be determined if I need to have another kidney angiogram.  If it isn’t one thing it is another.  I find it very hard sometimes but I keep on asking God to keep me in His care.

On the way home my daughter and I stopped at the Wild Berries Restaurant.  They have very good food there.

And now I am extremely tired.  I am going to rest for awhile and I will be back later to visit the ones of you that I missed this morning.

Stay safe and be happy!!
