Workmen arrived early yesterday morning to start repairing the roof on the house directly across the street from me that was damaged in the tornado. They worked until 5PM and got all of the shingles and tarpaper off the roof. They covered it with tarp to protect it from the snow that was predicted last night. (We got just a trace)
Here is a picture of the house after a tree had been removed from the roof a few days after the tornado. Notice the trees in the back that had the tops sheared off them. Also take note of the orange X that was painted on her garage door. She has been trying unsuccessfully to get that removed.
The workmen are just starting on the roof yesterday morning. To the left of the picture you can see another tree that had the top sheared off. There is a lot of rebuilding going on around me right now. I still have the cracks in my wall under the kitchen window. I suppose I will have to bug the office like I did the window to get that taken care of. Their stock answer is that they are waiting for insurance approval. HA!
I have some errands to run. I will stop by to visit you all later.
Stay safe and be happy!!
