News about Nate…

on this snowy Monday morning.  Yes, it is snowing like crazy right now with more to come.  Several of you have been asking about Nate.  Following is an excerpt from an email from my cousin Audrey who is Nathaniel’s grandmother.  Nate had a heart transplant on December 26, 2009.

“This picture of Nathaniel was taken on his birthday, December 7th,  he turned 9 years old and he is doing great.  We would love to see him gain some weight but he is growing tall so fast I guess that is taking all his growth energy.  I am 5' 5 and he is all ready as tall as I am.  He is wearing the sweat shirt I appliqued for his birthday.  He said he wanted to be Charlie Brown and I felt he needed the appropriate attire and he absolutely loves it.  The shirt is a mans size small so you can kind of see how tall he is.  His surgery was done on Dec. 26th, 2009.  He is back to going to regular school now.  His mom, Jeni, home schooled him while he could not go be with other children because of the fear of him catching something from them.”

Nathaniel

This does my heart good to see that Nate is doing well.  He and his family remain always in my prayers.

I am in the midst of doing laundry again.  When that is finished I have to make a grocery store run and a couple of other errands.

I hope you all have a blessed week!

Red heart  Beth

  2. Hi Beth,

Good News about Nate. It seems we are both experiencing the same weather, it is very bad here lots of snow, sub zero temps with ice, everything cancelled or held up. Stress levels running very high, especially mine. Hugs Nita

It's not snowing here yet and I hope it holds off.

  9. I did not do the applique on Nate sweatshirt. His grandmother Audrey (my cousin) did it as she explains in the excerpt from her email that I posted.

  10. Great news about Nate! Not snowing here now but we have about 6 inches of ice encrusted snow on the ground and, if the weather guessers can be believed, Santa will need his goggles to get through the snow on the way here this weekend!

  19. I wasn't around when Nate had his op but from looking at his photo it's been a huge success I'm happy to see. 5'5" isn't too bad and he'll grow into and be busting out of that Charlie Brown top before you know it.
    Have a good week.
