Cookies finally arrived…

yesterday afternoon and it only took 4 days for a priority mail box to travel 165 miles.  Not bad if I do say so myself.  (Little bit  of sarcasm here)  Anyway the cookies did arrive and all in perfect condition.

I have been busy today clearing up a bunch of things that needed to be done before tax time which I don’t like by the way.  A  necessary thing that we all have to do whether we like it or not.  Our president is speaking as I am typing this.  A lot of clapping going on.  I have the sound turned down low so I don’t have to listen to the parts of it I don’t want to hear.  At least the democrats and the republicans are co-mingling tonight and not sitting on separate sides.  I guess that should count for something.  I sure am hoping it does.

It was  pretty decent weather today.  I had personally declared this the first day of spring and the temp reached 31 degrees F today.  I was able to go hatless this morning as I ran some errands.  NICE!! change from below zero and snow and ice every day, plus I didn’t have to clean off my car today.  Sorry I had to send it all to you Paul.  Be careful with all that shoveling.  I will be stopping by your store later to stock up.

This is my short post for today.  Gotta turn up the TV so that I can find out what our state of the union is.  Or do I even want to know?

Red heart  Beth

  1. So glad your yummy cookies arrived to their destination. You pay alot for priority but I wonder why it took so long. I saw the sun this afternoon! Almost 24 here. All my mind could register was tonight was the President cutting spending on most everything yet he wants our kids to get ahead but schools have been cut. I dunno.
Let's hope the people we voted in do their jobs.

  2. Hi Beth, Yay! for America Post. So pleased your son received the tasty delights you sent him (even if it took longer than it should). I was watching TV earlier, and President Obama was speaking about how America is in a bad situation at the moment, so the focus is on money and employment. I hope I've got that right - I do like to keep up with what's happening around the nations, and pray that God will guide all leaders around the world. I really like our Prime Minister Julia Gillard. I think she's been working really hard to get our country out of debt and as she would say "move Australia forward". The opposition, Tony Abbot really bugs me. On a much brighter note, decent weather, that's really something... There and here. It's so-oo good to see and feel sunshine. Hope you have enjoyed a great day. Sweet Dreams. With love and care from Kerrie. xOx

  10. I'd complain to the Post Office if I were you. That wasn't priority service! You could have mailed it first class and got the same service. I really hate it when I pay for something and don't get my money's worth. But I'm sure your son was thrilled no matter. The lucky guy!

  13. Well Beth I finished shoveling about 2 hours ago. It looks like we got another foot. Yes it's true everybody in Massachusetts has three feet. It's a state law and there's nothing we can do about it. Still waiting for the leg to attach it to.
