Dreary, Cold, Rainy, Yucky type of day…

and for some reason I am finding it hard to do anything.  After having not slept well for the last couple of nights I slept till 7:30 this morning.  So that started my day off on the wrong foot and then I didn’t want to do anything.  I did get over to Kroger and even that didn’t cheer me up, just induced me to buy a couple of junky type foods that I have no business eating. So how is that for a Monday??  By the way, for the zillionith time in my blog I am stating that I do not like Monday holidays.  I don’t like not getting any mail or having the bank closed.

One of my nieces is in the hospital, very ill.  She had a unit of blood yesterday, I am so worried about the outcome.  500 miles is too far away for me to visit her.  I would be so grateful if you would join me in prayer for her.

Short post today.  I am trying to look on the sunnyside today Toodie.

Red heart  Beth

  1. Beth, I am so sorry you are feeling blue. I didn't like the 10 inches of snow we woke up to this morning either, plus the 5 degree wind chill makes it all the worse. Spring is coming and it will be glorious. Is your niece, that is sick, Rae's daughter? I hope she recovers quickly. Keep your chin up and think about all those beautiful flowers we will see in just a few weeks. Audrey

  6. Yeah, it did seem a difficult day...no snow here but awful cold that is relentless and nasty. We went out to see the city today but it was just too miserable with lots of people and terrible weather. Sorry to hear about you neice but I sure won't forget to pray over that situation. Bless you in spite of it all my friend.

  8. Here I yam, just like PopEye!

I have been gone the better part of the day and taking pictures as well. Deleted all but the one on Flickr.

I hate Monday holidays too, for the same reasons.

  9. Hi Beth, I will keep your niece in my prayers and I also pray that whatever is troubling you and keeping you from a good nights rest will sort itself out. I'm the opposite to you - I dread mail, because I usually get junk mail (which I toss in the bin) and bills. Very few letters these days. Send a letter anytime :) Feel better soon. With love and care from Kerrie. xOx

  13. Well if Monday wasn't the best of days, just remember that song, "The sun'll come out tomorrow; bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun..." Best to get your sleep and catch up on some relaxation and mindless entertainment or a good book. Sometimes a day of complete rest can be the best remedy! Tomorrow will bring another whole adventure!

  14. I think the weather is getting to a lot of us. I don't feel like doing much either and that sure isn't good for keeping in shape. Will surely send prayers for your niece.

  15. To me Beth, all the days blend together. Holidays don't mean much when you work retail. The only ones I get off are Christmas and Thanksgiving. Yeah I know. At least I'm working. I can't wait for the day when I retire.

  16. I do share in your dislikes of Mondays. Monday represents the sacrifice of personal freedom for the sake of financial survival in my opinion. A day or two of rest puts us in Relax Mode, and we abhor the very thought that our Relax Mode is ending. Well I do at least. I treasure my weekends, because I don't get many of them. *Please join me in my pity party now* I do the majority of my banking online, including paying my bills, so I am fortunate that holidays don't really affect that for me.
Here's hoping that you week is going much better than your Monday, as better as can be expected.
