  1. Hey your maters look better than mine! They do need more dirt for roots though. But I see a mater hangin there!
    Don't give up!

  2. For years, we have grown our tomatoe plants in pots and there have been times, when the leaves have yellowed and wilted from too much rain, but hubby simply cuts off stems that are dying really bad. He clips them off at thier base and this keeps your nutrients all going to the "good" branches and not to the already dead ones. He also recommends Miracle Grow, but trust me, we have had some that looked worse than this and continued getting tomatoes all the way into October. The key is to clip off dead or yellow leaves/stems.

  3. You're asking the wrong wrong person about plant health. I've had spotty results with plants at best. I hope they pull through for you though.

  7. Growing in the pots does require a lot of fertizing. They can be trimmed back quiet a bit too. You have a fairly long growing season so don't worry to much. I often cut off all the larger leaves to get more sun and take less nutrients. When I grow them in the greenhouse they can get a little sickly when the sun doesn't come out so much in the early winter. Don't give up on them. Well finally got my commenting problem fixed and can now comment again everywhere without any problems. Have a wonderful 4th of July. Hugs Carrie

  8. They look good to me too. Maybe a shot of fertilizer wouldn't hurt them.

  9. Hi Beth,
Your tomatoes are very good I has a good looking them with my glasses on:-)
Just need a little bit of more tomatoes foods?
Because the leaves were not green colors?
Maybe a good idea to visit Carole's home....
She might have too many tomatoes in her plants?
We all missed her are't we?
    Please take care.

  13. Hi Beth you have good sized tomatoes I see leaves do look rather pale , water them from the bottom they don't like rain too much, as they get blight. As your friends said pinch out the little stem's between the stalks. Mine aren't so good as I now have no greenhouse. But they are looking ok and have toms on them at least. I shall post a photo of mine soon to let you take a look. Hugs Sheila well done. :)

  14. They look good to me as I don't even have that. I'll be real jealous when your eating fresh tomatoes from your plants and I have to go buy mine.
