Blessed cold front…

Came through right on schedule.  It is blissfully cool here now at 70 degrees to be in the upper 40s tonight.  Air conditioner off and windows open.

As promised below is a picture of the huge oak tree in my front yard taken today.  You can see that it really was denuded.

You can see daylight through the tree now.  I really am glad it was trimmed because there were lots of dead branches in the tree and many branches hanging over the top of our buildings.
This has been a lazy day.  I went to the pharmacy to pick up scripts and that is about it.  I finished the leftovers from what I cooked on Friday which even though good, 3 days in a row is a little bit much.

My neighbor is out now washing his windows.  I told him he could do mine next but he changed the subject in a hurry.  LOL  They are a very nice couple, just home from a weekend trip to Las Vegas.  When I asked him if they won anything he said they only went for the shows?????  OK, whatever floats ones boat.

Nothing new here today, just a little update.  Preparing myself for two Mondays this week.  I will have to have my daughter remind of what day is Wednesday this week as I have a doctor appointment that day that I can’t miss.

I hope you all have a superfragilisticexpialidocious week.

  1. I believe I will try to have that kind of a week. I have a busy one full of places I need to be..including going to the Redneck Room :-))) on Wednesday.

My hair gets done Tuesday afternoon and therapy in that morning. She won't be there Thursday for some reason so I only have one day this week.

That's the gorgeous tree where you used to live isn't it? The one in the header with it's beautiful Autumn dress on?

I just had some brussels sprouts. I know how you feel about them but I love 'em.

The kids look fabulous in that picture you have there. And you're almost smiling. :-)

  2. @ for Twin, I took the pic of the tree here in town last October. No smiles in the pic as that was taken the day of Jim's funeral. It is the only pic I have of me with the kids together in their 'grownup' days. I do like the pic though. I will take it off in a few days.

  3. It is so hard to believe it is Sept.already. The last few days have felt like July! I am so happy to see it cool some, as sleeping will be easier.Wish someone would trim limbs near my place. I have to move the car every time it storms as limbs keep falling near it.City does nothing at all unless they fall across a sidewalk or street.Love the pic of you and the kids..despite the circumstances I am glad you got a photo of them grownup! Take care and have a great week.

  5. I've never been much of a gambler and the shows don't hold much interest so Vegas holds little thrill for me...as you say whatever floats your boat. It's been cooler here too though I hear we will have a day with 89 degrees and nights in the mid fifties which is just fine with me. I intend to enjoy a rare Monday off, hope you have great Labor Day.

  6. I can't say we've had a proper summer. We've had some nice days but to hear the British tell it "this was an unusally warm summer." Guess they'd never make it through a New York summer.

    Glad you are well Beth.

  7. Beth, that is a really nice photo of you and your grown children. I also really like your header with with the well dressed tree in all her Autumn Spendor.
We have had summer like weather all weekend but it is suppose to be cooler tomorrow, similar to your weather.
I was out yesterday trying to catch some butterflies with my camera, and I did. They will soon be migrating to Mexico.
I hope you also have superfragilisticexpialidocious week Beth.
    xx's Dianne :)

  9. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. So glad you bumped into me. :)
I am in seventh heaven with the 70s during the day and the 40-50s at night. Perfect! Fall is my very favorite time of year and I love the pic of the tree on your header. I do hope we have a nice long fall this year.

  10. Sounds like my kinda weather in the 70's very nice. Love the photo with your grown up kids Beth, and that tree looking good after it's little trim. The tree on your header is beautiful. Hugs Sheila and Wile-e :)x
