Happy Thanksgiving!!

I will try to get a quick post on here.  My internet service has been up and down all day yesterday.  I had my modem reset 4 times yesterday and when I turned the computer off last night the internet was down again.  I am having a service call tomorrow evening.  Very aggravating.

I was reading in the paper this morning the many things that readers had written in that they were thankful for.  Really made me feel small when I read some of them.  I have many things to be thankful for!

I am thankful for my family, for the love and devotion they show me.  I am especially thankful for my sis Rae and her husband who will stay on the telephone for however long it takes to get me cheered up.  I am thankful for each new day that the good Lord grants me.  I am thankful for all of you, my blogging family, all around the world who support me in thought and prayer.  Bless you all and a special thanks to my Twin who has been my friend for over 6 years now.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, Beth. Yes we have many things to be grateful for. I've been having internet problems a lot lately. I don't have DSL so I blame it on my stick. It can be connected but not to the internet, very aggravating, for sure.
Among a lot of things, I am grateful for all our online friends as well.

  2. I hope you can get your internet working right soon. Who would have ever thought back in the "old days" when I was young that we'd ever have such an amazing technology available to us at our fingertips! That we would meet people from all over the world right from a chair at home! That we could sent a typewritten letter anywhere--day or night--and with a click it could fly across space and wait patiently for the recipient to open it and read it. What a world!! :):)
    Happy, happy Thanksgiving, Beth!

  4. An attitude of thankfulness is a powerful thing all year around. I can think of Thanksgivings spent abroad away from my family...just being with them gives me plenty to be thankful for today! God bless and keep you my friend. Happy Thanksgiving!

  6. That reminded me of something my gran used to say to me which was, 'there is always someone worse off than yourself'. I'm not sure if it helps but I guess she is probably right.

  8. Hi Beth, Happy Thanksgiving to you I hope you are finding peace with yourself. i was just thinking to myself to-day that i had a lot to be thankful for despite the moans, groans and aches and pains I may go on about. I have a rood over my head, nice clothes to wear, a warm bed to lie in at night, and good friends and two lovely dogs for company. Life's good when you count your blessings. Take care. hugs to you

  13. I hope your day was wonderful with your family. Yes, this is just one day dedicated to thanks giving. My brother and I were reminescing on the phone last night about all the wonderful, loving family times we were lucky to grow up with. How we miss those who have gone on. Get well, friend, and stay well. God bless. f rom bertieblue
