C’mon sunshine…

It is a gray morning. checking in at 45 degrees with a 70% chance of rain.  I am doing laundry and contemplating whether I should clean a bit and put out some Christmas decoration.  I need to start my Christmas baking too.  The trunk of my car which is my freezer works very nicely.  Now if only I could work up just a tiny bit of energy I would do all of these things.

I am basking in the glory of the thought of not having another doctor appointment for a couple of weeks (the Good Lord willing and the creeks don’t rise.)  I love that old saying.  Both my mom and daddy used it a lot, my mom  the most.  Not sure about the creeks but I have the Illinois River at my back door.

I need to stop for a minute and go check my laundry.  Be right back.   20 minutes later:  I’m back and the laundry is all done for a couple of days.

No news so far today and for that I am ever thankful.  I hope you all have a good weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. The sun is peeking out here in Missouri, so I'll try to send some sunshine your way! I'm in for some cleaning today - as well as clearing out Carleigh's Garden. I always have to clear out the wilted stuff, so that I can look forward to it sprouting again when spring comes.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. I love the smell of cookies baking! :)

  5. Can I ever sympathize on not getting a break from the doctors! Think I've had enough of them to last the rest of my life.

The sun is peeking in and out of the clouds and we're a balmy 45 as well. Rain in the forecast Monday through Wednesday, Frankie's days off, naturally. Enjoy your weekend!

  6. It's all of seventeen degrees for us today. I was reading the stats for our weather and see that we've had more brown Christmases then white...I never would have believed it! I know what you mean about the no news is good news thing. Enjoy your time away from the saw bones!

  15. I spent Sat at the ER...and the weather was pretty great down this aways...

This morning, however (Sunday) it is raining and warm and set to slide downhill soon I fear. My husband is heading towards Quincy even as we speak...I, on the other hand, am sitting around all comfy in my flannel jammies...

    Have a delightful Sunday, dearie...

  16. Hi Beth the rained has ceased well for now at least. Some parts of the country have actually got a drought , that's over in the East of Eng. I have put a small tree up , quite sweet red lights. Hope you have a lovely Sunday doing what you want to do. Hugs Sheila and Wile-e xx
