And the countdown...

continues at 56 days. I am moving way late today as I haven’t been feeling great. It is a beautiful day, bright sunshine and 36 degrees right now.

Not much left in the sales at Bergner’s this morning. Everything is pretty well picked over. I did buy a $60 blanket for $19.97 and a pair of workout shorts for my son at a good price. Other than that I have done nothing. I did fix the chicken and dumplings and ate 1 dumpling and a small piece of chicken. I haven’t had much appetite for a few days. I shoveled some snow from around my car over the weekend and I now have pains in various parts of my body. I hate to admit it but I think my body has gone completely over the hill.

All for now. Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. I'm so sorry you are not feeling up to par. A good comedy always does the trick for me. I watched a movie called Morning Glory with Harrison Ford, Dianne Keaton, and Rachel McAdams last weekend. My kids watched it with me. We laughed so hard we were crying. It's a feel good movie....if you have a movie rental place nearby. It would lift your spirits.

The cold weather probably doesn't help your aches and pains any. I'll be that is another reason you are counting down to spring.

One dumpling and a small piece of chicken sure isn't much. You need to keep up your strength. Try eating small portions, but more times a day.

Isn't it funny how someone I don't know at all is making me worry? That's what I am finding out about my blogging friends. I do feel a connection with you all. Now I will worry about you the way I worry about Moannie. Please take care.

  2. Oh dear, I sure hope you feel better soon and start eating better. For what it's worth, I was in a lot of pain yesterday also> Since we live in the same state, I'm sure it was the weather.

  3. I've been off my game lately myself. I think my body went over the hill and down into the valley--LOL! Hope you are feeling better soon. :)

  4. Hi Beth,

Sorry you are still feeling below par. Lots of people seem to be, in one way or another. Lots of strange bugs with varied symptoms going on around here, get over one, get the next one. Hope you recover soon, maybe when spring arrives we will all feel better, even if some of us are over the hill and feeling it.

    Hugs Nita

  5. Completely over the hill? Well just roll down the other side. On your bottom, if need be.

    Look after yourself.

  7. Oh the aches we get having to do things like shoveling, that only add to any others we may have. Hope you feel better soon.

  8. Twin...I am proud that you have the strength and stamina to shovel BUT!!! I almost wish you'd hire someone for the worst of it. I do mine too, but I don't have to do it nearly as much as you do.

I so hope you sleep well tonight..been thinking of you.

  9. You having to shovel snow isn't good, but I know it has to be done. Do be extra careful.

  10. Sometimes I feel that I need help to run a red light. Today I feel your pain - in my hands. shoulder, low back...Get out the pity party towel. It's only the season. Spring is coming and we'll all feel better.

  11. Oh Beth I would happily shovel for you if I could. As everybody else I hope you feel better quickly.
Have to say we had you beat temperature wise. Today was a cloudless, sunny (duh!) sky with the temp hitting 56. Very unusual winter so far.

  12. Oh, be careful shoveling that snow! I'm not sure I'd even attempt it. Probably wait for it to melt . . . or someone to take pity on me!

  13. Weather is really full of ups and downs lately but the countdown still proceeds! I'm always glad for your countdown...I know I've said that before but I'll say it again: thanks for the reminder that this winter can't last forever!

  14. Aww I'm sorry you are not feeling 100%. It might be Winteritis...I get the blah feeling too. The cure...the sight of little buds peeking on tree branches and flowers awakening from their winter's nap. Come on Spring! I hope you
    feel better Beth.
    Blessings, Joanne
