How not to…

spend a Saturday night.

Yes, I could almost feel it coming.  I had an allergic reaction to the latest med from the doctor I saw last Wednesday.  I spent 4 hours in the hospital emergency room last night.  At least I didn’t have to spend the night there.  I was home in bed by 2AM although it was much later when I finally fell asleep.  Thanks to my daughter who sat so patiently waiting while I had blood tests done and a cat scan.  I am worn out this morning but I am up and dressed.  If I sleep the day away I won’t get any rest tonight.

My mind is muddled this morning but I think the countdown to Spring is 65 days.  Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

It is a beautiful sunshiny morning checking in at 21 degrees and I am thankful for that as more snow is predicted for later in the week.

I hope you are all having a peaceful day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. Thank goodness you're OK. Hope the tests come out well too. At least you had some company for the Emergency Room. It can be so depressing without someone. Stay well and relax this weekend.

  2. It's so good that you recognized the signs and got to ER right away. Sorry you had to go thru that again. Darn meds. I don't usually have an allergic reaction, but I do have trouble with different meds. Glad you will be okay.

  4. So sorry you had to endure this and glad you're OK. Rest up today. Sometimes just a few minutes of a nap helps.

  5. After all of that I likely wouldn't correct you even if you were wrong on the countdown! What an ordeal! Thank God you're coming around. I hope you rest well today.

  8. The ER is never a good place to spend time! My son had an allergic reaction to sulfa when he was 2. They told me if he ever took it again, he could die. He was listless and his skin turned blotchey. It was a horrible experience. I know it was for you, as well. Take care of yourself and always look at the side effects on the paper the pharmacy gives you so you can be aware if you have one. Stay warm!!!

  13. Those ER's are good to have when you need them, but no fun to be in. The worst is how slowly they will tell you anything. Sorry, you had the bad reaction to meds. There is too much of that these days. Get some good sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow. I'm so glad your daughter was able to be there for you. Hugs. Bertieblue
