Bleary eyed..

and not liking it very much this morning.  The c-pap machine is very quiet so I have no complaints there.  The mask is causing the bottom of my nose to be very sore and I can’t get the moisture adjusted right so I am constantly waking up in the night to take the mask off to get a drink of water.  I plan to call the company this morning.  I know I can exchange the mask FOC for 30 days.

The gentleman who brought the machine to me did take the time to explain it thoroughly along with some funny stories about other customers and the experiences they had.  One lady was so nervous about getting the ‘thing’ that she barfed right in their office.  And the stories go on.  lol

This is what I have.  If you want a better look at the ‘thing’ just click on the picture.

It is another lovely day.  67 degrees and to get up into the 8os again today.  I am loving this weather although a cool down is on tap for the weekend.

I will be cooking the next two days as my son will be home on Saturday for an early birthday celebration.  His birthday is April 8.  Menu for Saturday is baked spiral sliced ham, potato salad, baked beans, green bean casserole (I am always happy for a reason to make green bean casserole), and my daughter is making a pie.  If I missed anything just let me know and I will fix it.  Of course I have to fix the lemon cream cheese bars that are his favorite.  That means another store visit as I need to buy lemon juice.  I do miss my son since I moved farther away from him.  It is a pretty good jaunt from here to Chicago.

Have a wonderful day and do stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. Hi Beth!
I popped on this morning, bleary eyed as well, and the first thing I see is your post. I'm worried, as I am supposed to get a sleep appointment and I think I'll be told I have sleep apnea and I'll need to wear one of those masks. It's scaring me, as I hate things on my face.

I hope that you get used to yours quickly and I'll keep myself updated on your success!

The menu sounds marvelous! I love excuses to cook for my family! Well, when I feel rested anyway!!

  3. I am SO glad your boy is coming to see you. I love cooking for mine whenever I get the pleasure of a visit. I have one tonight, but he's only coming to give me his iPad and the Apple TV and show me how to use it..and have supper..then, off he goes.

That looks like less of a scary machine than I imagined. You'll get the thing under control soon I am sure.

  5. Oh that all sounds so good! Green bean casserole. I haven't had that for ages!

Sounds like you might need a different mask or something. You'll work it out. Just will take a little time.

I hope you have a wonderful time with your son!!! :):)

  6. So you did get the ResMed. It looks like a newer model than mine. Sorry you are having trouble adjusting it. But I'll bet you'll like it when you get everything worked out. Do get that mask exchanged soon. It does look small. It's amazing how many people are using CPap.

Enjoy your son's visit. I know you will. I have three children near and two away. Children? Ha! My baby is 52. They gave me 14 grandchildren and the sixth great GC is on the way. Anyway the point is I understand how great each visit with our kids is a wonderful occasion. Beach Gal Bertie

  7. First of all, I LOVE your background and the beautiful picture of the flower....makes me want to come back and hang around.

My dad had a c-pap machine and never could get used to it. He finally just quit using it. I hope you have better luck. That was 5 or 6 years ago, so maybe they have made some improvements to them.

  10. Happy about the upcoming visit.

And love the new Spring Blog Look.

But sad that you need that machine.

Don't know much about this sleeping issue... But you must have been diagnosed as needing this thing, or you'd not be trying to get comfortable with it.

    Much good luck!!!

    Lots of gentle hugs...
