Beautiful day…

yesterday.  The sun was shining and the temp in the 60s.  Just perfect.  The food was good and the company was very nice.  My son in law’s brother and his wife live in the country.  I got quite a few pictures of the egg hunting, etc. and a picture of a horse in the field next door.  I don’t feel comfortable posting photos of children as once you put something on the internet it is there for all of the world to see.  Some of the world is not very pretty.  The horse however is fair game.

The horse was so tame he came right up to the fence.  My  SIL’s brother told me that they feed him apples and carrots and that is why he is so friendly. The horse looks like he would be gentle enough for a child to ride.

It is lovely again today.  The sun is shining and it is 46 degrees.  Very windy though and school is out for another day.  I have to make a store run as I am out of milk. I will leave other errands until tomorrow as the stores will be packed with people again today.

I hope you all have a great week.  Stay safe and be happy!!

  2. Very lovely horse. Yes, animals are fair game on the internet whereas children are not. Enjoy your warm days. Still a little cool up here - need a jacket outside for sure as the wind has been so strong.

  3. My family agrees with you, on my not putting pictures of "Grands," on an open blog. I only put some pics of the youngest, while he was a baby, and he is never away from family, yet. But I'll probably even stop doing that, now that he is getting bigger.

I agree. Our blogs are on the World Wide Net. Not everyone on the World Wide Net, is nice. Any of our pictures can be taken and manipulated/Photoshopped, in any way a weird person wishes. Brrrrrrr.... Scary.

Even if we never happen to see such done, to a pic of ours, the thought that it could be done, is scary. -sigh-

Makes me only want to only take pics of animals and Nature. Oh and a random pic of seasonal decorating. And I do LOVE to see where people live. They don't have to show their family members, living there. Just the home.

I am addicted to SETS! In film, in tv, etc.... I pay more attention to the sets, than to the story line. :-))))))))))

Oh wow, look at me. Just coming back from a blogging break, and "talking your head off," in comments!!!! -gigggles-

  4. I totally agree on not posting photos, which is why I don't post pictures of my kids. It's also why I've gone to a private blog, that way I know exactly who is coming by and reading about our day-to-day activities. It's easy for people to come and read and not leave a note that they were there.

  5. Great shots of the horse and I especially love your header shot. You took it at a great angle and direction.

  6. Nice pictures my friend, it sounds like it really was a wonderful day. I took quite a few pictures yesterday as well but will wait until Thursday to post them. It's only 39 degrees here at the moment but will warm up...I'm about done with the thirties in the evening and morning I have to say.

  7. I guess I am naive. I have never even THOUGHT of someone photoshopping pictures that are on my blog to make them suggestive in any way. wow. Maybe I should take my entire blog down. I have kept it for my grandkids....for their memory....and for my brother and his family to enjoy....and I have loved meeting all of you from other blogs that I would never have met....but I guess I am just too trusting. That NEVER entered my mind that someone might do those horrid things. I am depressed now to think this is such a bad world.

    1. Don't be depressed. Make your blog private and invite the ones that you want to visit your blog.

  8. It is so much fun watching kids hunt the eggs. It was nice of the horses to pose so well for you, lol.

  9. I hadn't thought too much about posting pictures either. I never post my student's pictures, but I have my family ones. It kind of creeps me out to think about people messing with my photos!!

Thanks for the reminder. I love the tulip tree at the top! We used to have horses next door when I was a kid. We fed them just about anything we didn't want to eat! They were very friendly!

  10. I don't worry about posting pictures. There are soooo many blogs and pictures odds I just figure the odds are on my side. that may be naive but I don't really worry about things like that.

Looks like a beautiful sunny day. Perfect for an egg hunt.

  11. One of the things I like about Facebook is collecting pictures of cousins children and distant family I know and love. My blog is for my grands and great grands, and my kids too.

I like the horse and the Easter egg. Fun! Glad you had a nice day with people you care aboout. Beach Gal Bertie
