For many reasons..

this has not been a good day for me.  I am just checking in to announce to the world that I am still breathing;  still waiting for that miraculous feeling of well being that I am supposed to get after a night with the c-pap.  Not happened yet and I am not holding my breath.

Some days it feels like the final straw has fallen on my back, but I am tough so I keep on keeping on.

I hope you all are having a good day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  3. Hi Beth,

Do hope tomorrow is a better day for you. I am unusually for me, having some trouble sleeping and it makes me very stressed sometimes.

  5. Oh my Dear, I'm so sorry you are having one-of-those-days. No fair! No fair! No fair! -sigh- And yet we know, life is not fair. So like you said, you keep-on-keeping-on.

I certainly hope that tomorrow will be better. And that even now-of-today, a little later in today, things are better.

This ding-dang c-pap thingy!!!! Drat! Crapola on it! Bahhh-bahhhh-bahhhhhhhhh!

    Do you see any betterment?

What is this betterment, supposed to feel like? Has anyone told you, how this "wonderful feeling of well being" will manifest itself? As opposed to how you have been feeling? I don't know what the symptoms are, of neeeeeeeding to sleep, with one of these things. So I ask.

I do sleep... with interruptions. Very glad I do. But I'm still here to tell you, that I DON'T get up, feeling wonderful, myself, when I get up. Or all day long.

Will someone out there, who does get up feeling wonderful, please tell a lot of us, how it is supposed to feel??????

OK, I ramble and am of no good to you. Just hope venting, made you feel a bit better.

    Gentle hugs...

  6. Hi Beth, since I had my hip surgery and doing all of these exercises I wake up in the morning feeling the best I have ever felt in years I haven't lost a lot of weight but I can see that my shirts are getting looser every week. The big letdown comes when I get out of bed and I feel all of the muscles in my body start to complain, but then about a half hour later I feel quite good again. Have you thought of doing some exercise for about 15 to 20 minutes a day, like bike riding, or a stationary bike? One never knows, that could help.

  11. I'm keeping you in my prayers Beth. My husband had a c-pap machine for a few years and he just couldn't get used to it. I hope you adjust over time and that your days get easier. Take care :)

  12. I don't know what is causing your inability to breathe while sleeping, but if it is that you have drainage, your nose stops up....that sort of thing...that is what happens to me and I will fall asleep, then startle awake gasping for air. I was not getting a good night's rest for years. Then I came upon Claritin D. I started taking the twelve hour pill about an hour before bedtime, and what do you know? I can breathe....and I don't wake up gasping for air at all. I do wake up having to go to the bathroom because of the stupid water pills (for blood pressure) that they have me on, but I NEVER wake up gasping anymore. I also have used the nasal spray Flonase that opens up stuffy noses. I don't know if your doctor would allow you to take either of these, but if breathing is a problem because of allergies, then maybe one of these would help. I am so sorry you are not able to get a good night's sleep. It does make a huge difference in the way you look at the world and your ablility to do something so simple as thinking. Tomorrow will be a better day. Hang in there.

  13. I'm very sorry for that situation with your breath my dear Beth. I would give anything for you to know some relief. I know that there's nothing worse than not being well and having that stretch on and on. As much as I can be with you in prayer I will be my friend.

  14. My sympathy, Beth. I don't sleep well anymore. The neurologist that my internist sent me to, to find out if I had Parkinsons, said I don't. But he thinks my cpap needs to be reprogramed. He thinks it isn't right and probably because I lost 25 lbs last year. I, too, would love to really feel good again. He said I'm not getting the deep sleep I need. The sever shaking is caused by essential tremor and is worse because of the lack of the right kind of sleep. I really hope you get the help you need to benefit from the machine. Beach Gal Bertie
