Finally…

the new TV is here and hooked up.  Unfortunately the DVR won’t work and I am having Comcast come in the morning to take care of that.  I was told there would be no charge from Comcast as I have the service plan.  Otherwise I like it.  It is 42 inches, the same size I had before.  They took my old TV away so that was a plus.  On the minus side a couple of shows I had programmed to record tonight will not be recorded.  But I can live with that.

It is 65 degrees and partly sunny today, also very windy.

For some reason I have developed a king size headache.  I am not prone to headaches so I think it must be stress.  I likened the purchase of a new TV to buying a new car.  Both are headache causing agents.  Now I need to calm down and tidy up the living room as it is in a bit of a mess after my marathon cleaning  a few days ago.

Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. How exciting that your new TV has arrived! Yes, Comcast should give you free service as it is their DVR that will not work properly. I truly wish there were some competition around here with the cable/Internet business, but Comcast has the monopoly on that where we live. My husband keeps hoping for AT&T to get the fiber-optic cable run in our direction.
I'm sorry about your headache. It has been a very long time since I had one myself.

  7. Cool Tv! I wish ours was that size. Last year my husband insisted that we needed a bigger tv...ASAP. I think Its just too big for the room, But to a guy a tv NEEDS to take over the whole room! Feel better Beth... and enjoy your shows :O)

  8. At Last Beth your new TV now put your feet up and enjoy. I am still pondering on the new Tv at the moment. The old one is still working but a speaker has packed in. So the DVD's are with no sound.
    Enjoy your week Beth

  9. You'll really love it once they get it all fixed and running right. Wish we could record shows here, but our provider doesn't provide that service. Enjoy and have a great week!

  10. That's a nice looking tv my friend, I think ours is the same size. We've been very satisfied with it. The power of an HD tv with a BluRay player is unsurpassed. I hope your headache goes away. Sorry about the stress but hopefully once things settle down you'll be glad for everything.

  11. Hi Beth,

I am having a few of those stress headaches too!! hope yours goes soon and that you can enjoy a relaxing time with your new T.V.

The weather is one of the causes (just one lol) of stress at the moment, it rains and rains and rains, the drains cannot cope so there is water everything, but they still tell us we are having a drought and hosepipes are banned - not that we need hosepipes at the moment - lol.

Have a good weekend - Nita

  12. OOOhhh a nice new TV Beth, at long last I hear you say, Pity about the recording stuff, but no doubt once it's sorted you'll thoroughly enjoy it all the more, I never use my recorder as I just wouldn't get the time to watch anything I recorded. I do hope your headache had gone by now.
