Thursday…

is slipping right by me.  I have been busy again today.  The cable guy was here right at 8 AM and he was done in just a few minutes.  I have everything up and running now so I am good to go.

My daughter came over and washed all of the outside windows for me.  I followed along behind as the carrier person.  She also sprayed the foundation of the house with Home Defense from Ortho.  It is the first insect spray that I have ever used that has no odor to it at all.  It is also safe to spray inside too.  I think I may spray the foundation in the kitchen and the bathroom but I am leery of spraying carpeted areas.

After we got through with the windows we had soup and sandwich at Avanti’s.  The cheese soup there is excellent.  Then, don’t tell anybody that we stopped by and had a peanut butter cup blizzard.  I am so full I don’t know if I will even be able to eat mommy oatmeal tonight.  I call it mommy oatmeal because I fix it  and eat it like my mom always ate her oatmeal.  She put in a dab of oleo and a bit of salt and pepper.  I leave the salt and pepper out and use a dab of butter. 1/3 cup quick cooking oatmeal mixed with 2/3 cup of water and put in the mic for 1 minute 30 seconds.  Perfect!  and so good for the cholesterol.

It is a beyond gorgeous day here.  It is sunshiny and 66 degrees with just a tiny breeze.  Just a great day to be alive!  Thank you God!!

I hope you all are in line for a great weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. I am glad the Cable guy came on time and left with everything in good order. It sounds as though you have had a very busy day, but lunch out would be a treat.:-) We will have the house treated for termites and such, but we aren't into insecticide use indoors. Thus far we've been fortunate to not need to worry about that.
Have a great evening on this lovely Thursday!

  6. Our church youth group is wanting to raise money for a mission trip to San Diego this summer. They auctioned off services so I signed up to get our windows washed. We have lived here since mARCH 1997, and we have never had the outside windows done. It is a two story condo so there is no way us people in our 80's even low 80's, ;o), should be on ladders.

    Have a great weekend. BGB

  7. Hi Beth,

Pleased you had a pleasant fruitful day. The oatmeal is a reminder for me, that I should fix some and eat it a few times a week.

The sun is out here today, certainly lifts one's spirits.

Have a great weekend. Hugs Nita.

  8. I could have used some oatmeal or something today...it's only 48 degrees here with it staying fairly cool until Sunday. I'm quite ready for an end to anything below seventy at this point! Blessings to you my friend!
