it is bright and sunny this morning. It is 60 degrees right now and to get to the mid 80s. I have a doctor appointment so that will take care of the morning.
It is afternoon now and still bright and sunny and the temp is 82 right now to reach into the upper 80s with extremely hot weather forecast for the weekend.
I am home from my doctor appointment which was uneventful except for some lab work which is to be expected and is nothing new. My daughter and I ate at the Olive Garden. I love the food there, especially the chicken soup with the little dumplings in it and the bread sticks are delicious.
We cross the McCluggage Bridge over the Illinois River on my way to my doctor appointment. All pics I try to take of this out of a moving car going the speed limit are not any good.
There were lots of beautiful flowers at the clinic.
The last shot is of one of my tomato plants. Notice how the leaves are curling. I think the container is too small. Or maybe I fed the poor baby too much miracle gro. Considering everything, I guess it is a wonder it is still alive.
Time to wind this down and see what the rest of you have been up to.
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Glad you're done with another doctor's appointment. Olive Garden has really yummy food. Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteI don't know enough about growing things. I over and under fertilize and water. Never take my advice. Anything that grows here is by chance and by golly! ;)
Glad the appointment is behind you now and that you treated yourself to such a yummy lunch!
ReplyDeletePretty flowers.
You have a green thumb. My tomatoes always suffered at my hands.
ReplyDeleteThe curling leaves could be from the beet leafhopper. It is a problem in parts of Colorado. If you have a state extension service, you can look online and see what the problem might be. I
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing well these days.
It sounds as though you have had a very full day! Good to work in the treat of lunch out after a doctor's appointment.:)
ReplyDeleteWe have the same higher temperatures here. I really prefer it if the high temperatures don't get into the eighties.:)
Today has been busy with laundry and cooking up some more of that zucchini! I'll meet you halfway with some!:)
Enjoy your Thursday evening!
