The guys came yesterday morning around 10:30 and said they were finished with a job and could they get started early. In my best Mae West imitation, I said come on in boys!
Seriously, these were two of the nicest young men. They were extremely courteous. I enjoyed talking to them as they were working and they fixed everything just as I requested. I now have a corded phone in addition to my cordless ones. Some information is not really safe to give out over a cordless phone.
Jonathan and Zach were very professional. Note the booties on Jonathan’s feet. Those booties were put on each time they came in the house and taken off when they went outdoors. They were very careful to clean up as they went along. This is a local company out of Peoria. Now if I want customer service it will be a local call and hopefully they will all be able to speak English. PLUS, and this is a biggie for me, service calls are free unless they are coming to install something new in your home. Comcast charged for every time they put a foot in your door. I am still cringing from the poor customer service I got from Comcast last week.
I have two boxes of stuff to return to Comcast this morning and I will be leaving soon to do that. I hope you all have a great day. Stay safe and be happy!!

WooHoo!! Closure with Comcast. Gotta be a good feeling!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you found a good company with great customer service!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I am happy for you! Good customer service is hard to find and greatly appreciated these days!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a marvelous week,
Kathy

What a relief to be beyond that hurdle! I hope it all works out for you!
ReplyDeleteglad you're fixed up!
ReplyDeleteI love that they put the booties on! So nice to have courteous people. I hope your trip to Comcast goes well. Nice to be free of them!!! :):)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear everything went so well. Sounds like you made the right decision to make the switch.
ReplyDeleteWhat gentleman coming in with booties and being so kind. I love that they let you take pictures for your blog. We have a great local company here to but sadly my street is on the wrong side and they don't go that far. they keep saying they will make it to us but that has been 8 years of that promise .. lol. Oh how I would love ppl who could speak English so it would avoid frustration on both of our parts.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you are all hooked up and pleased with the process! : )
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I would never have thought to take photos of the men working :)
ReplyDeleteAnd it's good to have a corded phone for sure.

if you could see the mess verizon made of my floors today!! and they wander all over the house, looking for phone jacks. just ask me pal, i'm sitting right here, i'll let you know where they are.
ReplyDeletethey didn't wipe their feet let alone cover up their dirty shoes!!
oooohhhh i'm off topic, good riddens to comcast. they are messy men too ;)))
Ah! You've LEFT Comcast! I hadn't really understood. We have just switched from Comcast (after 5 years) and their "triple play" plan. We now have Verizon Wireless, and no workman had to come to the house at all. We also have a phone with a cord. We were tired of paying rental on that modem each month! It really adds up!
ReplyDeleteGood for you changing companies like that. That's what we all should do if the customer service or service is poor. I hope your new company is everything they said it would be.
ReplyDeleteI wish Comcast were not the only act in town.
ReplyDeleteI hope you LOVE it. sandie
ReplyDeleteI have had only ONE workman come into our house and put booties on. I called him all the time for repairs and was very sad when he went out of business! Hope you're enjoying your new phones.
ReplyDeleteGood Customer Service means so much!
ReplyDeleteComcast goes well for your blog!
ReplyDeleteCant beat good customer service, it a winner ever time
ReplyDeleteTake care
Sue
Unusual to get good service like this anymore.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteJust to say I tried to comment on your latest blog and for some reason it would not let me, I will try again later.
