I am getting tired…

already of the election coverage.  I will be quite honest and say that I am disillusioned with our current administration and I am suspicious of the competition.  This will be a difficult election for me trying to decide.  I have never missed voting in a presidential election since I first registered to vote many years ago.  I have made it a point since I first started blogging that I don’t discuss politics or religion in my posts.  So that is as far as I am going with this topic.  Just sayin’, I am getting tired of political shenanigans.

Lovely cool day and I plan to enjoy it.  I have given instructions to any and all that might get in my car to not touch the windows.

Hope your day is a good one.  Stay safe and be happy!!

  1. You can say that again Sis! If I am watching the news or something I tend to mute it or turn the channel. Will be glad when the commercials are over, this RYAN guy I sincerely dislike. Have a great Sunday! XXOO

  2. I try to mute it too. I think the all day news channels do more harm than good. I distrust Ryan after personally seeing him in a charity situation where he broke a promise not to politic. I live in his district.

    1. Terry, you have gone a long way towards helping me decide. Do you think he can carry Wisconsin?

  3. I have had 2 Presidential elections where I wanted NONE of the candidates so I chose not to vote in those 2. No, my vote would not have meant a thing but it was my disgust with both candidates.

  4. I hear ya! and I have a feeling many many people feel the same. The attack ads, the lies and we're stuck in the middle trying to weed through all the nonsense.
I hope you have an awesome Sunday Beth!

  6. I don't have cable TV or satellite and it's kind of nice not to be bombarded with political ads. Still, I don't like either choice we're given. Once again I am faced with the option of voting my conscience (write in a candidates name who is not on the ticket) or choose the lesser of two evils and I do mean two evils.

  10. I say, put'em in a bag, shake and the one who falls out first, put him in. Ridiculous of course, but you catch my meaning. I don't care for either.
It's so nice and cool so far and we're safe so far. Have a nice Lord's Day.

  11. A pretty cool day here also and it's really nice! I'm tired also of hearing which one thinks he's better. No one seems to be doing anything. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

  12. I definitely have political opinions; however, I too make a point not to discuss them in my blog comments or on my own blog. I have not changed my mind for many years how I vote.

We've been away a few days, and I am behind, just trying to catch up.:)

Isn't it nice to have some cooler temperatures? If only places that have had such difficulties due to the drought would get some rain, what a blessing that would be!

  14. Enjoy the cool weather. I agree with you....although sometimes I get a bit um...passionate about things or lack of things getting done. Secretive abusive nonsense happening on both sides. And enough of the smear campaigns.

  15. You and everybody else in America, with the exception of the political parties, themselves. I wish we could pick someone to vote for ourselves. We would do a better job than the people who do the picking. I say they are all liars and theives.

  16. Willy Nelson and Old Friend! How appropriate. It's been awhile Ms Beth. Well from the post and the comments it would seem that the consensus is no politics. Ok. Fair enough but, always remember a no vote cast is a vote cast for the winner.

  20. I want a law that says no candidate for office can say anything about his oponent, only what he/she would do if elected. I hate having more than a year of ugliness every four years.

  23. I'm so with you! I recently heard of a move, 2016. I've watched the movie trailer and will probably be going to see the movie. I think everyone should go see this movie and realize what his plans for America really is. My family talks politics a lot! I'm not fond of either, but I will vote.
Hope you have a great week!

  24. I pray for wisdom in spite of all the noise my friend...I think it best to vote what you believe to be best in your heart though the choices may not be perfect.

  25. I think your thinking is the same as us here in the UK Beth, though we haven't started any new elections yet, it is a wearying and boring business, that you get sick and tired of, and then the same thing happens within a year, the disillusionment sets in.Take care, and don't let it get you down.

  28. Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy. Uuugh!
Here's hoping that you are taking good care!
