It is obvious…

since I am writing a post this morning that I didn’t win the Lotto last night.  Shoot, I didn’t even have one number.  Some lucky person or persons from Michigan won.  I have relatives in Michigan but none in the area where the winning ticket was sold.

It is drizzling rain here this morning with thunderstorms all around us.  We have a 70% chance of rain today with a cold front moving through.  The weather scanner has already gone off this morning scaring me half to death while I was in the middle of my morning workout.  Right now it is black as night outside so I think the storms are getting closer.  I am also hearing some thunder boomies so I am hoping for some much needed rain.

So what do I do on a day when the power could go out at any minute?  Why I hurry up and close off this post.  You all stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. You stay safe and cozy today! Sorry about the Lottery. I didn't win either...but then again...I forgot to buy a ticket. :)

  2. Gee, wouldn't it have been a kick if CarolDee had won! Just once, I'd like to personally know someone who has won one of those prizes. Hope you get your rain. We might have some too this weekend, if we're lucky. The fire near us is almost out but that would certainly help. Enjoy the weekend that's just around the corner.

  8. You seem to have the same luck as me, why can't I win some? Batten down the hatches, you did ask for rain! We are getting some here again today.

  9. We are getting some rain here, and I'm loving it - except for the fact that Hubby was planning to mow the lawn tonight. So much for that! LOL I guess it's just going to have to get a little taller to give him more to mow. :)

  10. Oh if someone we knew had won it would be so fantastic. I love what Sue said there in her comment. I never play so guess I'm not like;y to win. :-)

  11. Just like Katie above, I never play the lottery, so my windfall is going to have to come from somewhere else.:)

I hope the storms brought much-needed rain rather than the dangerous wind and lightning.

Wishing you a good evening, Beth!

  14. I hope you did get some rain, but no bad storms or damages, and that it cools it down for you, too. Oh--usually when I buy lotto tickets I never get even one number, either. Oh well. We are rich in so many other ways, right? ;)

  15. Sorry you didn't win the big money! Enjoyed reading about learning to sew. My mother always sewed and when I was in 7th grade I took a sewing class and I really enjoyed it. Only my mom wouldn't let me sew at home on her machine because it was an old model and she was afraid I would break it so I never kept up with sewing. I only made 2 skirts in school, but it was fun! My mom still has that old sewing machine! I had to find a new hairdresser also and I'm very happy so far! Enjoy your day!

  17. I would rather have rain right now than to win the lottery. I'd say your pretty darn lucky

  18. Isn't it amazing that one person won? I hope it is someone who truly needs & appreciates that kind of gift. Bill went back on the road, to Iowa then on to Wyoming. It was storming here when he left, so we got what you did. Finally: rain.

  19. My son-in-law was in Michigan and we were hoping he bought one while there. Alas, no such luck. Since I didn't get any either we'll just keep plugging along as usual. I would be okay with the power out as long as the Kindle battery holds out. The hubby I'm not so sure.

  22. I always feel sad when I don't even get one number! LOL, I mean if you get at least one you were on the right track! We had quite a bit of rain recently and now the days are hot with the nights being down right cold...this state has some of the goofiest weather ever.

  25. Congrats on the rain! We've had some good needed rain here along with some Big booms. I played the Powerball lotto too. We bought two tickets and we got two numbers on one ticket, but didn't match the powerball number. :( I hope the people in Michigan that won are givers to others in need. :) Have a great weekend!
