Aww... a time when Moms always wore aprons. Great picture! Have a great day Beth! Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. I know you went through so much with your Husband's illness. Blessings, Joanne
It's great to have old photos to help us remember. I really need to do some sorting and organizing of what I have. One more thing to add to my "to do" list.:)
I love old photos. This is wonderful and I love the car in the background. You should google youtube videos of mockingbird sounds. Some folks have recorded mockingbirds imitating their cats and/or car alarms!
That is a great shot. What a difference a generation makes! Imagine our young today living during times like these? I miss this group of people from my youth. Many of my great grandparents, great aunts and uncles had such amazing experiences and I loved listening to their stories. This pic also tells a story. Thanks for sharing.
They looked like a good hard working honest couple Beth, lovely photo, I love looking at my oldies. I might even post a couple up one day, as some of my early ones were b/w too.
They do not look happy in this photo. Your dad is really looking at something very closely and it's not the photographer and even your mom seems to be looking at something else. I would say that they didn't enjoy having their photo taken. But how fun to have it!
Joni Mitchell. Good choice. I do like old black and white photos. There's a gritty realism to them. I have been doing the same thing, that is, going through old family photos. Maybe I will post some in the near future.
that is cute. i'd have some of my folks that looked similar. :)
