A day late…

and a dollar short.  Well to be honest, I am 2 days late and probably more than a dollar short.

Idiom Definitions for 'A day late and a dollar short'

If something is a day late and a dollar short, it is too little, too late.

I started posting photos I took of the tree between my back door and the cemetery in January of this year.  The goal was to take the photo on the 4th of each month for one year to note the changes in the tree.  I am not a photographer, just a point and shoot gal but I have had fun doing this.  I think I will pick a different subject for next year.  If you will notice March was the only photo with snow on the ground.  Last winter was dry and very mild.  I am on the lookout for a doozy  of a winter this year.

doozy

Something extraordinary or bizarre. Etymology: perhaps alteration of daisy, and Duesenberg, a luxury car of the late 1920s and 1930s. It's an English expression.

"That footballer's form is a doozy!",
"Man, that one was a real doozy!"

  6. Fun to see the tree in the different months. GA rarely gets snow, but often in Feb/Mar we have ice storms.

  9. It so fun to see the changes that way. We tend to just take for granted these things Mother Nature gives us. Great pictures. Reminds me, I forgot all about that one I took earlier this year. Better to back and check on it.

  14. I think the tree has been a good subject. In fact, I was motivated to find something here to follow for next year.

We had no snow at all during the winter of 2012. I always like to have a little winter weather when it is in winter season.:)

I think I've been multiples of dollars short for much of my life.:)

  23. You did well to stick at it Beth [tree] I gave up as there was just not difference for so long, now it has started to go brown and crinkly, it hasn't really done well this year, owing to the sun playing 'now you see me , now you don't'

  24. That tree could use a haircut. Dead limbs do it no good. I like your idea of one picture a month. Let's see, how can I steal this idea?

I'm finally off tomorrow! Woo Hoo! 10 days straight!

Beth I signed up for Spaces late in 2007. I didn't do my first blog until Jan. 2008 so by Jan. 2013 it will be 5 years. It does seem we've been friends for longer.
    That's a good thing.

  26. Hi Beth just cruising through some missed blogs. I love how you have kept monthly pics of the tree. I do love the header the most in the fall. I can see that tree needs some serious pruning. Way to many dead branches. So glad you have been getting rain your way finally. Today we had a little sprinkle. First rain in almost a month. But that's ok we had sooo much in June and July. There is now a nip in the air, especially at night. But I know we will still have some beautiful warm days ahead the rest of September.
