It’s Saturday…

and I am going the the Christmas Bazaar at the hospital with my daughter this morning.  They have the cutest crafts there.  The handmade dresses for little girls are just adorable.  From now until Christmas there will be one church after another having a Christmas Bazaar.  That is one nice thing about living in a larger city.  Lots of activities and things to do.  I love the Christmas sale at the First United Methodist Church.  The ladies of the church make homemade noodles and use the egg whites to make angel food cakes.  I bought a cake last year for $5.  Those cakes are huge and just delicious, so I am looking forward to that again and also buying some of the homemade noodles.

And then next month is the cookie exchange.

These are the goodies I came home with last year.

My doctor appointment yesterday with my cardiologist was uneventful.  (Thank you God)  For now I am doing better.  Next month is my kidney/BP doctor visit.

I hope you all have a lovely peaceful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. Oh you have reminded me of times past. My mother and I loved the church fairs in autumn. Since then, the church with the very best one has closed and become a historical society that does not do autumn fairs. Oh how I miss each table laden with crafts and bittersweet and goodies. Plus, they served tea and slices of pie for a song. Sigh. You guys have a blast and get some good stuff!

  7. Hi Beth, I'm thankful your appt. went well. The angel food cake sounds so good. I remember mama baking those and inverting the cake pan on a Coca Cola bottle! Have a good time and I pray next month's appt. goes well, too.

  8. Yeah for your doctor's report! Love to go to Bazaars as well! One can always find the "perfect" gifts there that are unique and handcrafted. I think most folks would rather receive such gifts because of the thought behind them and the fact that they are homemade! I know I do! Happy shopping and be sure to photograph your take this year too! Wnjoy!

  16. Our United Methodist Church, where my son went to pre-school, has a wonderful little thrift store. The ladies that work there are so sweet! I donate items and then I shop. :)
I know you'll enjoy yourself.:) I want one of those $5 cakes!
