Sunny again…

I think.  I said it was yesterday and no sooner had I  published my post than the sun went away and was a very dark day.  Since I had made cookies the day before I couldn’t do that again so I flitted around like a chicken with its head cut off.  What to do, what shall I do.

I worked a bit more on sorting CDs and I have already decided that clearing out almost 1000 CDs is a daunting task and not much fun at all.  I never did get  the bobbin loaded on my new sewing machine that I purchased last Spring and now I can’t find the darn cd again on how to load the bobbin.  Speaking of bobbleheads.  lol

But, I have things I have to get done today.  A call from the pharmacy reminded me that I have prescriptions to pick up.  Yesterday I cleaned out the freezer so that I could get a turkey today.  Kroger has them for 77 cents a lb. with a $10 food purchase.  And we all know that I always end up with a lot more than $10 spent at the grocery stores.  I am hoping my son can come home for Thanksgiving.  If he can’t I will save it till Christmas.  I also will need to pick up a spiral sliced ham a little closer to the time.  Oh yum, I have visions of stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce and the smell of celery and onions simmering on the stove in chicken broth!!

I was thinking that many of you don’t know what I was referring to yesterday about singing Soft Kitty.  If you are a Big Bang Theory fan like I am you know the words go something like this.

“Soft kitty, Warm kitty

Little ball of fur

Happy kitty, Sleepy kitty

Purr Purr Purr”

Sheldon always wants this song sung to him when he is sick because his mother always sang it to him..  You can watch the show tonight on CBS at 7PM  CST.  Here is the Big Bang website.  http://www.youtube.com/user/thebigbangtheory?annotation_id=annotation_661293&feature=iv&src_vid=sIp77PUvLTE

I have got to get busy.  I will catch you all later.

Beth

  2. I was going to say the same thing sparkle did about your sweing machine. Good luck figuring it out. I don't care for the spiral hams, I must not cook them right cause they dry out too fast for me. Not sure if I'm having turkey or ham, probably turkey. It's our year to have the whole family over so I'm looking forward to that. Have a good day Beth.

  7. It's almost impossible to go to the store and keep it under $10 now days so I know that turkey will come home with you. I hope your son can make it too. It's so nice to have them around. All the kids will be here this year. Guess I had better decide what to have.

  11. Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only person who had so much music. For several years I've been trying to put them on the computer so I can backup on thumbdrives or something cuz I'm so paranoid about losing any of it. Is this a disease or just love of music?? I'll go with whatever you say...
Have a good rest of day

Your food sounds good. Yesterday and today for me, it was a case of "what do I do first" :) think I over reached and I ache tonight, will certainly be pleased when it is all moved in place and I can settle. But I thank God for his provision and undertaking for us all.

  14. I hope you find your CD . It's such a worry to lose anything. I've been searching for a CD to my printer so I can uninstall it. Thank goodness, Andy has the same one so he can do it. Sounds like you're gonna have a nice Thanksgiving with your family.

  15. I am having fun planning thanksgiving in my mind....last year we deep fried a turkey and the year before that i roasted 2 15 lb turkeys...took 1/2 the time. I always have Thanksgiving...no one is crazy enough to invite 11 people from the same family.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur....we love that song:) As for CD's....I've been there.....I have too many that I've had to organize over the years. 1000 is really quite the collection:) Get your a's, b's, c's separated and 10 hours later, you'll have them all organized:)

  17. I wish we had a Kroger here....we did years ago...they left us. We only have one grocery store (3 of the same kind) and Walmart and Sams. So far, no good deals on turkeys like that.

I was going to suggest you look on the computer for instructions for loading your bobbin, but being that I am so late reading this tonight, everyone else beat me to it! Good luck...hope you get it loaded before another year has passed!

  22. I've thrown around the notion of getting rid of all my physical disks too since my music is all digital and on I-tunes now anyway but I don't want to deal with that very badly. My tv watching has been all about Walking Dead still with few exceptions. Blessings to you my friend.

  26. Well I just got hook on The Big Bang Theory this late summer. Yes at nights as hubby is on the computer after dinner I head down to our greenhouse where I TV still is and become a couch potato. Well there are some days that is all that is left in me. So I go hooked on the show. As there are so many I have missed I can watch up 3 different times in one night. I love the quick witty banter that goes on. I tend to watch silly sitcoms. I am watching a bit of Revolution right now, boy after the hurrican on the east coast this show really could become a reality, but generally I stay away from any drama. I want things to make me laugh and are quick and witty.

I also loved the Reba show. I heard she has a new show out, but haven't been able to find it. Maybe I don't get that channel. The world is too much of a heavy place to spend watching in on TV as well. Anyway love to see I am not the only one watching some of those silly shows. Hugs Carrie
