It's that time of the year....

Believe it or not…

the sun is shining this morning and the temperature in central Illinois is a balmy 24 degrees…but there is no snow on the ground.  We did get snow flurries on Monday and that will be enough to last me all year, thank you very  much!

I haven’t got much accomplished so far this week but then I guess I am not on the clock anymore so what difference does it make.  I get to take off the heart monitor in a couple of days and that will be a huge relief as it is about to drive me nuts.  No fun to sleep with and that is a fact.  Combine it with the c-pap mask and it sure doesn’t make for a restful night’s sleep.  Not complaining, just venting which is OK since today is Wednesday which long ago was declared the official rant day.

Speaking of blogging, in September I began my 8th year of blogging.  I have lived through a lot in that time, made a lot of wonderful friends, and thoroughly enjoyed it most of the time.

I really don’t have much to say this morning.  Just checking in to let you all know that I am still among the living!

Do stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. Gosh Beth, I must be a real pain having to sleep with two devices attached. Hope all goes well when the heart monitor is removed.

  2. Good Morning, Beth. I'm glad you have sunshine today! You have been blogging longer than anyone I know. So may changes in those eight years but I know you feel like I do...you are blessed to have made friends to share the ups and downs with. The cpap would be miserable but add the heart monitor and I am sure you are very restless. Keep us posted and I hope you have a nice afternoon.

  7. I love the idea that Wednesdays are complain day but I'd better not get started-LOL
We do have several inches of snow and it's about 24 here to in mid-Wisconsin.
You must be so sick of that monitor that I'm glad it's almost over for you.
    Have a good hump day.

  9. Don't you apologize for venting.....we are like a family in blogland, and if you can't be truthful with family and tell it like it is, who can you tell it to? We love you even when "venting", which didn't even sound like venting to me! You should hear me vent. You remember when I was venting and you asked me where in the world I worked. lol I would have told you if I had your email address, but I would get fired if I told online where I work and say a single bad word about it...they watch us like hawks. They don't want ANY bad publicity, even if it's from a pion who doesn't matter and nobody reads what they wrote. See, I'm venting. Whew! That felt good. Thanks for listening....you're such a good listener!

  12. I don't blame you one bit about the weather or the health issues my friend...vent away. I hope that you can get a little relief once that heart monitor is done and gone. I've read that eight is the number of new beginnings...I pray that's so my dear Beth! Bless you!

8 years, that is a long time to be blogging. I've been blogging for quite a few years too. I think I started in 07. I've tried to stop a few times but always come back. : )

  25. I echo what your friend above said, it IS a long time to keep it up, I do admit to letting lapse quite a lot, partly because it seems a bit pointless, though mainly right now Christmas is taking up quite a bit of spare time. I do hope your nights are more comfortable now. Take care XX

  26. Since I am behind reading blogs maybe you have already gotten rid of the monitor by now--whoohoo! :)
