Busy morning…

I started off with laundry, then a trip to the store and then back home to bake cookies.  Today I made Nellies recipe for the oatmeal cranberry cookies.  I had to use lemon extract instead of orange.  I also added some dried pineapple bits and they are delicious.  Thanks Nellie.  http://berriesandmore.blogspot.com/

I made the cookies I had in mind yesterday, the ones where I put some chopped cherry bits in and the Hershey’s kiss with the cherry filing on top.  I mentioned this recipe a few days ago.   YUMM!!!!  I have everything all ready for the cookie exchange tonight.

Now to sit down and rest a bit.  My mind is still loaded with worry for my sister and her surgery next Tuesday.  All kind thoughts and prayers for her will be greatly appreciated!

Pictures tomorrow of my haul from the cookie exchange.

Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. Hi Beth! I've never been to a cookie exchange, but they do sound fun! I bake about 5 different kinds myself and split them up and give as gifts. A tradition started by my grandmother. Although I swear she baked at least 10-15 different types of things. I'm not that disciplined!

I'm sending good luck vibes to you and your sister right now, and will be thinking of you next week.

  17. Keeping your sister in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't even started baking. Can't do it to soon or I will eat everything. But I am going to check that cranberry oatmeal recipe out. I have a couple bags of cranberries in the freezer and was just thinking how could I use them in a cookie. Also a healthy one. I so wish I could have organized a cookie exchange as so much less work and you get such a variety. Wishing you a wonderful blessed Christmas. Hugs Carrie
