I battled the doctor yesterday and I am not sure who won. Anyway I had one med taken away and a new one to take its place. I do not have good luck with new meds. I hope I do better with this one.
It is cool here this morning at 36 to get into the upper 40s. Not bad for an early December day.
Below is a picture of my little Christmas tree taken this morning. Sorry I kind of chopped off the top. I put the book I am reading now in the pic too. I love Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. They are hilarious and always make me smile even when I am feeling sad.
I hope you all have a great day. I am doing laundry and contemplating doing a bit of cleaning. I have my cards and packages done and plan to take them to the post office this morning.
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Love Janet Evanovich too! Haven't read 19 yet, but probably will when it gets a bit cheaper. Your tree looks divine! Hope you don't have too many problems with those new meds. I am thankful every day that I don't have to have prescription pills yet. Hang in there. We're all behind you! Oh, and have a GREAT time reading---who's your favorite: Ranger or Joe??
ReplyDeleteI have to go with Joe although it is a tossup!
DeleteBeth,You are doing well, if your cards and packages are done. I like you tree. I have never read that author. Good luck with your new meds. I know they can be a big pain. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteI've never read this author but have heard of her...I will check out her books. I'm always looking for a good read. Your Christmas tree is so cute! And I see you are ahead of the game with your shopping and wrapping...good for you! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Hi Beth,
ReplyDeleteNice picture of your tree. Our snow is lingering a bit on the ground, but none has fallen today.
Hugs Nita
I love Stephanie PLum too and Lulu...trying to think if I have read this one yet or not. lol
ReplyDeleteYour tree is adorable, I will be getting the rest of my things out that I want after the boy gets back from Iowa to help me. All the Christmas stuff is stored in the big closet in his bathroom...behind a dresser he moved in there. lol
I have done nothing in the way of gifts. I have, however, hung the garland around the doorway and put some of it on the porch railings. Also have the holiday tablecloths out and on the island and the table. Some candles out.
Chilly and grey here today.
Later, tater...
Hi mama Beth I love your tree, I so hope your new med works for you thinking of you and sending ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about a tabletop tree this year, cant decide. Yours is adorable,it's pushing me in that direction.
ReplyDeletei am a fan of tiny trees. :) good luck with the meds!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your cleaning can wait :) Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI hope your new meds work well. The tree is so pretty. I've still not read my book.
ReplyDeleteI have small tree almost similiar on an end table. We have the big tree...but I actually perfer the little one..its cuter, and easier to take down.
ReplyDeleteI have seen the books in the store, always pick them up to flip through, but never bought to read...maybe I will now..
What good progress you have made, Beth! I haven't even begun my cards!:(
ReplyDeleteHope the new med will work for you.
Sending wishes for a good Thursday!
xo Nellie
I read her too, but didn't even know she had another one out. I'll have to reserve it at the library.
ReplyDeleteYour little tree is very pretty.
You're way ahead of me of being prepared for the holiday. Your tree looks pretty! I hope the new meds work out for you.
ReplyDeleteYou've been a busy gal since last I was here, especially if you have all your cards and packages done.
ReplyDeleteHope that your new med and you agree very nicely and that it does the job. Sometimes we do have to be a little more vocal with the docs than we would like just so they really hear us. It's okay. You pay them.
Your little tree is sweet...just enough I'm thinking and a good murder mystery is all right, too. I'm reading one myself...a Christmas one of all things...I really didn't think that I'd enjoy it, but I am.
Beth, love that tree of yours:) I know what you mean about the battle with the doctors:) I don't like becoming a guinea pig:) Hopefully the new meds will be okay. All my best. Chris
ReplyDeleteSweet Tree! I must get on the stick and dig my little ceramic one out. A friend made it for me in 1972. Hope you're feeling really much better soon!
ReplyDeleteyour tree is lovely! very pretty and festive. good luck with your meds. one time while the drs were rounding and I was working as a nurse I brought the patients am meds I was going go give to the patient to show the drs. when they saw the amt of meds she was taking they were all taken aback...there were like 20! some of them were the same meds, like potassium, but it was an eye opener for sure...
ReplyDeleteI really like your little tree. I could use a humorous book right now, so I am going to look for some by that author! I have been reading too many depressing books lately!! Hope you get your med issues worked out. Enjoy the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteI can picture you reading by the Christmas tree...sounds cozy :)
ReplyDeleteI like your tree and I do hope that your meds work out. sandie
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful and you're a head of me for sure.. I sure will pray that your Meds work for you.. I'm the same way, I have a low tolerance for new Meds.. Blessings, Ssuie
ReplyDeletewishing and praying for you the best of health...lovely Christmas tree :) the hubby wants to put ribbons on our tree too but I still haven't figured out how to best tie them...happy reading, I haven't had the chance to buy a new book to read, take care always :)oh and I hate taking meds too...have a lovely weekend ahead....
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet Christmas Tree! I hope your new meds treat your body well and that you have a very Merry Christmas, if I don't have time to wish you one when it gets closer. :)
ReplyDeleteBattles with the doctor...yeah, not easy to know who wins those...sigh. I hope the new medication works out well for you. I love your tree! Delightful!
ReplyDeleteI do so hope they can find the perfect med for you soon so you will be feeling perky again! Let the cleaning wait until you are feelin more up to it. Maybe your cute little tree will help to pick up your spirits. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWishing you good luck in feeling better. Take good care of yourself, and take time to enjoy the season. BGB
ReplyDeleteStay well Beth! Love your tree!
ReplyDeleteHope the new meds help. We are battling Prednisone over here - Mom with crazy blood sugars since having to start that treatment - very scarey. Another doc visit this afternoon - hope they can change some of the meds so she will be able to sleep well at night. Take care - wishing God's blessings to you and yours this Christmas Season.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree. Chopping off tops (heads) is one of my specialtys. Well I'm praying this change in meds works out. Sometimes battling the doctors is what has to be done. Just about to read that book.
