Another Monday Morning…

and we escaped the ice, just getting pretty steady rain all day yesterday.  This morning it is foggy with 48 degrees.  Tomorrow is to be mid 60s with thunderstorms and then another cold front comes through.

I am so glad the days are inching closer to spring.  Friday will be the 1st day of February.  I have always thought that January was the hardest winter month to get through.   Actually pretty depressing.

mom and family

I am still looking at old photos.  This is a photo of my mom’s family.  That is my grandfather and grandmother in the front row.  My mother is standing on the far right.  My mother had 7 siblings.  One of them is missing from this picture.  If my cousin Audrey in Michigan is reading this will you please let me know who is missing from the picture.

I need to get off here and get busy, also go check my car out.  It made some funny noise when I started it yesterday.  I am tired of putting money in my car but I only have 85,000 miles on it and I have to leave my car sit outside in the elements.  For that reason I hate to buy a new car.

Have a good week all of you!  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. Nice picture. There is a site here for our town that everyone is putting up old pictures it. It sure is fun to look through, and one of the supermarkets made a dvd of a lot of the pictures.

Ah the trials and tribulations of owning a vehicle. Hope you don't have any serious problems with your car.

  4. Your ice came up here. First we had 2 inches of snow, followed by ice. Today should be above freezing, so hopefully all the ice will melt. Love your picture.

  5. Get a Subaru! All wheel drive, good on ice and snow. Excellant on price and gas mileage. I did not think i would like ours, but I do.

Again, love the pics, old black and whites are my favorite.

  11. Beth, We had luck on our side too. The ice stayed north of our area. Blessing. I count everyone I get.:)The photo of the family is nice. I wish I had more of my mother and father's families. My Teddy has over 200,000 miles on our truck and say it's just broken in good.LOL You have to stay on top of oil changes and repairs. Hope you car doesn't need repairs. Stay safe Beth. xoxo,Susie

  12. Hi Beth,

I look forward to February too, January is often quite a depressing month, so many hours of darkness.. Once Feb, gets here and it is a shorter month, well 2 days can make all the difference lol :) it seems March and Spring is just round the corner.

  13. We're actually having some days like spring here lately. It is supposed to be 70 here today. The bad part is that it dips back into the 20's later this week. That's why everyone gets sick around here! lol!

Love looking at old pictures too!

Have a great week, Beth Marie!

  15. Happy Day to You! It's so fun and interesting to look at old family photos. Our weather is similar to yours ~ a little snow today, near 60 on Wednesday, and then back in the deep freeze. Blah!

  16. Enjoy your week, Beth. Old pictures are really fun, I think. I sympathize with your concern over your car. Spring has to be on its way and I too, don't want to wait. BGB

  17. How lucky you are that the ice missed you! I am the keeper of the photos here, and there are many people whose names I do not know.:-( Our present temperature is 54 degrees! No more ice here!

  18. I'm with you...January is the bleakest of the months and the hardest to deal with. It isn't really bad here in Arizona, but when we lived in the midwest and Mountain West it just seemed like Janaury was a lifetime away from spring. Great family pictures! Enjoy your evening.

  22. Beth - don't you love going thru old pictures? But, it is frustrating when you don't know who someone is and don't have anyone to ask.

  26. As I write this it is 60* and thunderstorming. Crazy weather. I can't imagine what Spring &Summer will bring. I love your pictures. Thank you.

  27. Our weather has been far too dry, I'm concerned that that will continue into spring and summer like it did last year. I love warmer weather but I have no love for a drought. I hear you on the car, our mileage is similar but we do have a garage, I'd like a new one however that would mean higher cost for license plate tags..ugh. Have a good day my friend.
