Saturday Quote…

“The government’s view is that the best time to announce bad news, news that it doesn’t want the public to dwell on, is late on a Friday, when it will wind up in the Saturday papers, which if you were readers, then the week day editions.  A holiday weekend is even better.”

I think this is so true.  I love this guy.  He is my very favorite announcer on all of TV.

*******************************

I have been out and about already this morning.  My daughter and son in law took me to the breakfast buffet on the boat.  Then we went onboard and I proceeded to lose $20 quickly which is my limit.  The breakfast was very nice though!

The sun is shining brightly right now at 14 degrees.  We have an ice storm forecast for tomorrow.  Possible ice accumulation about 1 quarter of an inch.   I have to get out this afternoon and  put some cardboard on my windshield.

Have a great weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  4. Hi Beth,

Our snow is slowly melting, the sun has actually shone today too. Have put some plants in hanging baskets, hoping they will live.

Don't like the sound of your ice storm, hope it is not too bad.

  7. Being on a boat is always a treat for me. Glad you enjoyed it with your family.
I read somewhere on Facebook that if you wipe your car window with vinigar the ice won't stick. I've never tried it as we have a garage now. It might be worth a try. BGB

  9. Breakfast on the boat sounds like fun! I hope you don't get the ice storm. That's worse than a snowstorm.

  12. We're having another beautiful Florida sunshiny day, but it's supposed to get up to 80 later in the week. That's getting a bit too warm. It encourages the bugs.

    Love,

  13. Bob is one of my favorites too. He's a good ole Texas boy, you know. I think it's wonderful he's still working and I understand he plays in a country/western band in Manhattan! Go, Bob!

bad new is bad news, a bitter pill to swallow and will taste no sweeter from one day to another, so it matters little.

  18. hi Beth,
hope you stay warm & safe during the ice storms.
We are not having winter here, no snow or sleet, just lots of rain & fog. This is the kind of weather we had in Houston, Texas U.S.A.
    love you Beth... Hugs
