Wednesday prayers…

It is 34 degrees, the sun is shining and rain is on the way for tomorrow.  Maybe an inch or more.  Annie, where you are, perhaps 2 inches.  We are desperate for moisture here as are many of the states so as much as I dislike a rainy day I will be glad to see this one.

The rain coming does mean that I have to go to the store this morning for a few things.  A few things for me in the store usually adds up to 40 or 50 dollars.

The hair thing is no longer an issue.  I found out that the person has the same first name but is not my old beautician.  However I did get a better haircut more to my liking as I told her to cut my hair short everywhere.  At least today my bangs are not hanging in my eyes and I am fairly well satisfied with my hair cut.

And now for my Wednesday prayers.

  • I pray for our nation’s leaders to work together to solve  the many problems we are facing.
  • I pray for our troops to come home safely.
  • I pray for world peace.
  • My most fervent prayer is for my niece in West Virginia to have a successful surgery today.

I hope you all are having a great day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  5. We have the possibility of fourteen inches of snow by Friday if the reports are to be believed. It's been terribly dry since summer and so like you I know we need it but no matter how much we need it I don't relish the disastrous driving conditions and awful cold.

  7. Joining you in your Wednesday prayer list, Beth!

I actually thought of a solution to the haircut dilemma. Although it is a moot point now, you might want it for future use. Find out when the one who is presently cutting your hair is off. See if the other one works on THAT day, and make your appointment for that day.:-) Of course, some salons are probably all closed on the same day. My hairdresser, however, takes off a day that the salon is routinely open.

Raining here, too, today. Although it puts a "damper" on outdoor activities, we will take it! At least it will help the water table levels in case we have drought later in the season.

    Take care!

    xo Nellie

  8. Hi Beth....crawling out of the hole of sick I have been in since Friday night...it's 54 here right now! Crazy. I am feeling much better, though I overdid it yesterday (my first day out of bed all day...)
I am going to try to make a market run too today...because tomorrow if we're getting that much rain, I'm not leaving the house either. :)

Prayers sent for your niece, and certainly for all the rest.

  21. Glad to hear things went well at the hair salon. It doesn't take long at all to buy $50 worth of groceries. I hope all went well with your nieces's surgery.

  22. I hope your niece's surgery was successful.
Beautiful prayers you have shared today.
We were so thrilled to find the many bargains for household cleaners, bath supplies etc. at KMart. We saved 50% off our total bill for things we need anyway.

  23. I believe that the storm that is heading your direction hit us last night. We had a gulley washer and I believe my hubby said it measured 3 1/2 inches. The wind was whipping all different directions and it sounded like our house was going to blow apart, but it didn't. I hope you get some good, slow, soaking rains....and that's my prayer for you today.
