I am so sick of robocalls. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robocall They are never ending and the Do Not Call List doesn’t phase them. You can’t get rid of them. I always check the caller ID and if I don’t recognize the number I don’t answer the call. Once in awhile though I will pick up the phone without thinking. Do I have diabetes, my car warranty has expired, second notice, we can lower your credit card rates, etc. and the list goes on and on. I am rushing in from the store this morning and the phone is ringing and I am thinking this is probably the call I am waiting for to schedule a doctor appointment. Head to the phone, big mistake. And that is the end of my Wednesday rant. Put the violin away.
It is sunny and cold today. I have about got all of the ice off my car now and with a little bit of ingenuity I managed to get the garbage can lid pried open yesterday.
I have a dental appointment tomorrow afternoon. I know I have said this 100 times or more but I hate going to the dentist. I hate the way the technician or the dentist will ask you a question while your mouth is full or worse yet talk to each other as if you are not there. Boy, I guess you can all tell that my mood is less than stellar this morning. On that note I will close my post.
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Sad that we HAVE to have a phone that they can keep bothering a person on. Sis just gave up after those horrid phone calls at election time. She uses her cell mostly now. Hope your appt goes well..take care out there..stay warm and well. XOXO
ReplyDeleteWe all get in a bad mood once in a while. I hope someone will cheer you up today. It just feels bad to be in the dumps. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI am the same I hate they carry on a conversation like it's coffee break time. Just like when I get my toes done and the ladies start talking to each other in a different language.
ReplyDeleteRobo calls...ugh, how I hate them! I'm with you on not answering them unless I recognize the caller ID. We got a brief warm up that came with a lot of wind so it doesn't feel all that warm :(
ReplyDeleteI detest robocalls. I don't get too many but I sure do get them!!! Twin, cheer up. I will too. xoxox
ReplyDeleteIt's rainy and dreary here today. We get unwanted calls all hours of the morning and night.
ReplyDeleteYesterday as I sat by the bedside of dear friend, Mary, she got a robo call. It just infuriated me!
Feel better soon. Kitty is in my lap purring away. That will help me!
I wish you could go to my dentist - he is really great. It's like going to visit a friend. : )
ReplyDeleteHi Friend, I am with you on the robocalls!! We get them a lot they used to be 800 numbers, so I could block them not anymore. I hate screening my calls what else are we supposed to do.
ReplyDeleteWe had snow during the night about three inches.Hugs, Anna.
You said dentist. Ugh! Robocalls. Ugh! Snow. Ugh! What a crappy day this was. Snow turning to slush turning to ice just in time to go back to work. Apart from that it's been a pretty good day.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteYep. We get bothered by those calls too.
Our snow has almost cleared, but we are promised another heavier fall on Friday!! Spring where are you :)
Hugs Nita
the dentist 'questions' made me laugh. so dang true.
ReplyDeletewinter blues!!
ReplyDeleteWe hate Robocalls here too and wish we had some way of blocking them. Very annoying. ha ha - is going to the dentist among anyone's favorite thing to do? I hate it too,
ReplyDeleteWe always screen our calls here too and don't answer unless we know who it is. They can be very aggravating.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get many robocalls..I have been diligent about asking them (Demanding) that they remove my number from their calling list. I also omit my phone number from any in store drawings..some Grocery stores and Farm Supply places sell those little pieces of paper...and they sell them more than once too. IF I win something they can snail mail me the winning instructions:)
ReplyDeleteDon't know that we have many of those kinds of calls, if any. We are on the "do not call" list.
ReplyDeleteSending wishes to you for a good Thursday, even with that dentist appointment. I went last Thursday!:-)
xo Nellie
I hope you having a dental today? I had long time for 22th January I has to my tooth for another six days.
ReplyDeleteI remember when your cover with your teeth about last August.
Too many thing and I hate one thing different day I has change of the day.
last my teeth fixed and no more...
You having a no problem for Dear Beth!!
Cheer up!
ReplyDeleteI hate those calls too. My personal favourite is when I pick up, the cruise liner horn blows and they say, "This is your Captain speaking..." Ahahaha..my captain. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was drafted, my teeth were a mess. So I had to go to the dentist twice a week. I actually psyched myself into believing that I enjoyed the experience. The painful shots, the taste of Novocain just added to my enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteI get a lot of those calls too. I wish there was something that could be done.
I couldn't agree with you more! It is ridiculous and rude. It seems etiquette and manners are a thing of the past, along with common sense. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteoh the dentist...I so dislike going to the dentist...total avoidence in my part...I am overdue now, but can't bring myself to make an appt...good luck with yours!!!
ReplyDeleteSmile Beth I won a free trip three times yesterday from a robo whatever call:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteI've had many a day like that. It seems like my number is on the "please call me 20 times a day" list!
ReplyDeleteWe take our phone off the hook Noon to 3 pm (lunch and nap) and at 9pm to 8AM. Noticed robo calls dwindled to one or two a week at the most.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the dentist, I mind the COST!
awww, no entry today!! hope your o.k.!!
ReplyDeleteRobocalls seem to me to be the height of rudeness, very annoying aren't they.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes get an ' unknown' call on my cell. And if I choose to answer, it's a source of aggravation. I feel for you getting those calls.
ReplyDeleteWhat a disgusting day-I hate those kind of days.
ReplyDeleteI hope the dental appt. goes alright-I too, am not keen on the dentist office as a whole.
Hopefully Thursday will make up for Wed.-well, at least after the dental appt-LOL
Oh I can so relate with the Dentist.. I hate going.. And those telemarketers are driving us nuts too.. I've had so many calling and wanting to install new Security in our home among many other things.. I'm sick of it.. Glad the ice is melting and wishing you luck at the dentist.
ReplyDeleteI also hate the dentist, and for those telemaketers well like you if I see it comes up overseas on my caller id I will often not answer it if it comes up private I will because one of my daughters number is blocked and such comes up private but they drive me batty
