Safe Haven…

“An affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman's struggle to find love again after she arrives in a small North Carolina town. Her reluctance to join the tight-knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller.”

If you like Nicholas Sparks books you will love this movie.  I really like his books.  They usually have a surprise ending as this one did.  Sometimes the endings are sad.  I really prefer happy endings.  I loved this movie and I give it 5 stars!  I saw this movie yesterday with my daughter.

Yesterday the weather was spring like with temps in the low 50s.  This morning it is cold again with a temp of 14 and 2 below wind chill.  A snow storm is headed our way on Thursday.  The amounts predicted are varied depending on which way the storm moves.  Oh, I am longing for spring.

I hope you all are having a good week.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  11. Sounds interesting. There are so few out there that one can even enjoy these days. I have Spring Fever too. By the first of March all of our cherry trees will be in bloom. That's the true beginning for me. But we do have sunshine today which is rare here in winter so everyone should feel better in Washington State. BGB

  15. Yes, I am a fan of books by Nicholas Sparks! Safe Haven may be the last of his books that I have read, though. I'm rather behind in that area.:-) The movie is on my "I want to see" list.

Have a good Tuesday evening! xo Nellie

  18. It sounds like a good old-fashioned take me away movie. I do like many of Nicholas Sparks' stories. I like the way he usually teaches something of value without being too preachy about it.

  20. Hi Beth! I love the way you've been changing your template and design. Very fun! I haven't been to a movie in I don't know how long. I always talk about going and seeing some, but never do. Mostly the cost involved! I'm so glad you saw one you really liked! We have a snow/wintry mix prediction, too, for Thursday. And yes....Come on, spring!

  21. I may not really be the demographic for this film!

Glad you like my "Past Participle" post - hope you like the words (we which take me a lot longer than the pictures!) as well.

    Cheers
