Spring is missing…

The calendar says spring but Mother Nature is not cooperating.  The high yesterday was in the low 20s which was 54 degrees cooler than it was last year at this time.  Right this very moment in  time it is only 13 degrees.  I heard a bad man say the S word for Saturday when I was listening to the weather report this morning.

Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty tough days.  I don’t bounce back like I used too.  And I don’t like it one bit.  But I am here to complain about it and for that I am ever thankful.

I am leaving in a few minutes to get grocery shopping done early.  I want to get started on spring cleaning but I will be darned if I am going to do that when the weather is like mid winter.
I smiled reading a story on the front page of the Peoria Journal Star this morning.  http://www.pjstar.com/

Dunlap teacher charged with two felonies for bathroom camera

Posted 14 hour(s) ago
“A Dunlap High School teacher’s attempt to secretly record colleagues in a school bathroom this week also captured him positioning the cell phone underneath the sink.”    Quote from the Peoria Journal Star.

Now why in the world do you think he did that?  Check the article out if you are interested.  Needless to say, he has been terminated.

Time to get moving.  I will be around to visit you all this morning.

Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. I am so sorry that it is so cold. 54 degrees from last year is really cold. I read about that man. Sometimes I just think the world is going crazy.
Be safe when you are out driving.
I don't think I would be quite ready to start spring cleaning yet either.

  2. Fellow said that bad word here too. What goes on in a persons head that the do such things? I certainly hope it isn't anything in the air, don't want to catch it, and don't need anymore out there. There's enough of them now.

  5. Morning, Beth!

    It's already a balmy 22 down here...up from 17 when I first got up. Heading for a tropical 35 !!! Sheesh !

Hope you have a great day--I too, am ventuiring out today...a few errands and then to PT. With gas back up to almost 4 bucks a gallon, I'm doing everything I can while I'm already out there.

  8. We have some sun for once, Twin but man, 29 degrees is a mite chilly. However..remember last summer. At least we are warm inside. Conversely when it's 107 degrees outside I recall the car stayed horribly hot even with the air running fill blast and I really had to crank it up inside as well here at the house to get cool enough to stop sweating. New unit too. Guess the humidity with that heat just was overwhelming to man and machine. xoxox

  19. There sure are some sick people out there-don't think I want to read more about that ;-)
BUT spring is coming, I have to believe that, so I don't go melting snowbanks with a zippo lighter.

  20. Brrrrrrrrrr! It's flurrying here and I am sooo ready for warmer weather, but according to the weatherman it's nowhere in the near future. I'm still dreaming of flowers and buds peeking on trees.
    Blessings, Joanne

  22. Ms. Beth, thank you for your comment on my post about my depression....mine seems trivial compared to what it must feel like to loose your spouse. We each need to hold each other up in prayer!

  23. It's the same story here made worse by the weatherman mentioning that last year at this time we were in the 70's and 80's. This year it's cold with more snow on the way. On the other hand the skiers are loving it.
I only have one word for that guy. Creep!

  28. It never ends. The depravity of the human race, supposedly civil, never ceases to amaze me. All we are left to do is to try even harder to do the right thing. Peace.
