The day after…

and no cooking of any kind for a few days.  I had a lovely visit with my son.  There were a lot of leftovers which I sent home with my kids.

After we ate my daughter took us to the boat where I proceeded to donate $30 which was $10 above my limit.  We had the  birthday cake after we got back from the boat.  I have been trying to remember the last time that my son had a birthday cake with his name on it.  Sorry I didn’t get a picture of it.
I was so tired after they all went home that I sat down in my chair with the heating pad on my back and fell asleep.  I love cooking for my kids but I am afraid I am just about as far as I can go with that,  I will treat everyone to a meal out the next time we get together.

I am sorry I missed visiting with you all yesterday.  I will try and get around to visit later this morning.  I am doing laundry and then I am needing bananas and milk from the store.
Have a wonderful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth

  1. I know it's always nice to do for the kids, but as we get older it can get to us. They will enjoy going out just as much as long as it's with you. I know we have the get-togethers here in the yard and everyone brings dishes to pass, but the setting up and taking down of the things can get a bit tiring.

  2. I agree with Terry..no need to overdo things..next time a nice eat out place will do or make him ONE special dish not the whole dinner.. Sounds like you all had a nice visit anyway..rest up for the weekend. I hear warm air is coming..

  6. Hi Beth

Pleased you had a nice day. But I agree it gets harder to cater and cook, as you get older.

    Have a restful weekend.

  12. So glad you got to spend time with your family! It is exhausting though, isn't it? Whenever my clan comes to town all at once, I find myself needing frequent naps!

I hope you got to see the last of yesterday's Arias trial where the Prosecutor questioned the expert. It was wild!
