Divine Intervention…

Do you believe in Divine Intervention?  I do!

~ Divine intervention is a term for a miracle caused by a Deity's active involvement in the human world. ~

I had Divine Intervention when I put my house up for sale in March 2010.  My house sold in 5 days in a little town where one or two houses on each city block was up for sale.  I sold my home to be close to my daughter never realizing for one minute that my health would begin to decline rapidly.

And when I went for my appointment at the beauty salon the end of May my beautician (Terry ) asked me how I was doing.  While I was fighting back tears I told her I had cancer.  She and I talked a bit about it and when I was ready to leave Terry gave me a hug.  She asked me to write down my telephone  number because another one of her clients was in remission from the same type of cancer that I had.   Divine Intervention.

I received a call from Sally a few days after I had my first visit with the oncologist. We talked on the phone for a long time.  Divine Intervention again.  I met Sally for lunch at Avanti’s.  She brought me a book to read titled ‘Life, on the Line’ written by Grant Achatz.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grant_Achatz  Mr. Achatz suffered from the same type of cancer that Sally had and I now have.  It appears to me from reading the book that he had the same type of treatment that has been prescribed for me.

Sally is a miracle in my life.  Her story is my inspiration.

Then this morning I went to the Genealogical Society’s annual garage sale and I found this:

002

‘Reflections From the Heart of God” a devotional Bible for women illustrated by Thomas Kinkade and heart reflections by Nanette Kinkade.

And now do you believe in Divine Intervention?  I do.  I so needed to find something to help me get through the next few weeks.

May God Bless you all.  Stay safe and be happy!!  I am so grateful for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Beth

  1. Absolutely I believe in divine intervention. Nothing happens without purpose. It is not always to our liking, but there is a reason. Keep your chin up, brighter days are ahead for you.

  12. So sorry to hear this, but, I definitely believe in divine intervention. The Lord sometime does things that there is no other way to describe them other than that.

Thomas Kinkade is one of my favorite artists of all time. I was so sadden hearing of his death. I am lucky to have one of his original paintings - a Christmas one that I put out every year and sometimes leave out for quite a while. It's so soothing.

Blessings and prayers to and for you.

  22. I do believe in Divine Intervention. We have experienced it several times in our lives. I plan to write of one such in the next day or two on my blog. God is great, God is good. I'm on the prayer team at church and I have seen several miracles. One was a lady at age 90 with a serious infection and the only drug that helped caused her heart to have problems. The hospital sent her to hospice. We prayed very hard and often for our friend and suddenly she got well and went home. Recently two friends were in a terrible head on auto accident. The air bag didn't go off. She had a broken neck and other broken bones and they both had collapsed lungs and he couldn't walk for a knee cap injury plus they both had broken ribs. Everyone was so frightened about it as the couple were older. We prayed again almost sure it could not come out well but prayed believing God would intervene and he did. This was three months ago. The casts are off. He can walk. They are again in church every Sunday. It was a miraculous cure and at a rapid speed. We are so grateful. This is only two of many examples. Jesus said "whenever two or three are gathered in my name, there am I also. So I believe that God is with you. That many more than three are praying and really caring. He will send his Angels to watch over you and give you peace. God bless you Beth, and know how very many friends you have who are with you in thought. word, and prayer. God bless you and keep you and give you the "peace that passeth understanding". Hugs! Bertie (BGB)

  24. i believe that every single thing that happens to us, happens for a reason. the reason often not clear at first, becomes crystal clear at another time!!

lean on others when you need to beth but you are stronger then you think. i learned that so many times in the last 10 years about myself.

    have a happy sunday!!

  26. Yes, ma'am, I do. I was working at the drug store in downtown and was having horrible pain that they were telling me I would have to have a hysterectomy to resolve. I was talking to the meter maid and told her how much I wanted more children (we only had one at the time), and she brought me a tape of a healing preacher. I didn't believe in that, but because I loved Betty, the meter maid, and respected her so much, I took it home and watched it. Miraculously, I never had a pain again. When I told my doctor I was healed by the tape, he stuck his finger up my rectum and asked if that hurt....of course it did, and then he told me it wasn't gone. But the pain WAS gone.

About 3 years later, the same doctor told me that the endometriosis had grown and if I didn't have a hysterectomy before 2 months were out, I would have to have a colostomy. I believed him. I went and gave blood so that when I had my operation, I would only get my blood if I needed it. Then I went to my second job selling tickets for the school district at the football game. One of the ladies there was talking about having the same problem, and when I told her I was going to have to have a hysterectomy, and cried because I always wanted more than one child, she told me that her doctor was treating her with a pill. I went to see her doctor, and he told me I didn't need an operation. I took some of those pills for a week....was supposed to have to take them for a long time....and what do you know? The endometriosis went away and I had two more children, never having that horrid pain again....and never having a hysterectomy Yes, I believe those two women were angels....not in a Heavenly with wings way...but I believe they were sent into my life to answer my prayers.

We are all praying for you, Beth. Not only for healing, but for peace of mind that God is in control Hugs.

  31. Amen, Beth! The longer I live, the more I realize that divine intervention is all day everyday! Most of the time, I think I miss it! Just a simple thing, yesterday, I happened to stop at my neighbor's yard sale, and she had just the items i was going to shop for... for less than a tenth of the price!

  35. Oh Beth I just want you to know you are my desrest friend here in Bloggerville. You have been so good and kind to me. More than I deserve. I don't know if I believe in devine intervention or not. I certainly wouldn't say it doesn't exist. Maybe I say that to hedge my bets, but if that's what it is and it helps you on your path to wellness than I believe in it. I know I said we were going to speak on the phone and we will. After I'm done catching up on some blogs I will email you. Take care my friend.
