Yesterday…

I received a form letter from my Nephrologist Dr. Dreyer.  This doctor has managed my blood pressure and kidney disease for the length of time I have been here (3 years).  I have the highest regard for Dr. Dreyer.  I have so very many doctors but this man has been my favorite doctor.  The letter went on to state that he would be leaving the practice here as of August 1st.  But to go even farther to tell you what kind  of doctor he is he finished his letter with “You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for allowing me to serve you.  Take care and God Bless.”  And then a handwritten note at the bottom of the page, “ I will miss you.  Dr. D.”

Now, Dr. D. is the only doctor I have ever had who could pat me on the arm, call me dear, tell me not to worry and I would feel better.  I will miss you Dr. D.  I could think of 3 or 4 of my doctors that  I wouldn’t have minded a bit if they left.  lol

I have been extremely busy, yesterday at the dentist for most of the morning getting a full mouth x-ray teeth cleaning and doctor exam.  Tomorrow I see an ear, nose, throat doctor.  Then on Monday I see the oncologist here in town.  I will have more lab work tomorrow too.

I am extremely tired and my mind is all filled with what lies ahead for me.  I will be posting sporadically until this all gets underway.  I don’t have much energy to read your posts and I am sorry about that.  Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Beth

  9. It's so hard to lose a good doctor. I needed to see a urologist for a few years when I lived in Maryland. I told him one day that he was the most gentle doctor I'd ever had. He said I made his day, and I'm sure Dr. Dreyer wants the best for you. I'm praying for you, and don't worry about reading posts.

    Love,
    Janie

  16. Beth- You just rest and get your strength up. Don't bother visiting me if you are not feeling up to par. I will be around waiting for you when you do feel up to it. I will pray for you everyday. I know you are scared and that is okay. Even those of us with deep faith are scared of the unknown when it comes to our health. I am so sorry that your favorite doctor is leaving. Love to you- xo Diana

  27. It sucks when you find a good doctor and they leave many years ago we had this female doctor at my GP surgey and she was the nicest lady, she had to leave the practice but not because she wanted to....she died of breast cancer...........and she is missed

  28. It is sad to lose a great doctor like that. I had a wonderful Christian doctor who took care of my son. It makes a big difference to have someone you can trust like that. Keep us updated when you can, Beth. You're in my prayers.

  32. Hi Beth, Thank you for commenting on the post that I wrote about Technogran. I have been reading through your blog today and am sorry to hear that you too are fighting cancer. I have also known many people over the years who have had it, including a few who were treated and are now doing fine. I pray that you will be like one of them. God bless you. :-)

  34. Much love and kisses. You were lucky to have such a doctor, there aren't so many of those around...

Prayers for you every day and I have moved you to the top of my blessing list. All that means is that every morning during my prayer and meditation time, I will verbally bless you with all the things I think you need. But it is good for me, to be connected with you, on that level. I'll email you my phone number if you want and you can call anytime....xoxoxoxo
