A prayer for Lizzie…

I think most of you probably remember me mentioning my great great niece Lizzie who was born a couple of months ago.  I posted a picture of her at that time.  Her grandfather Mike sent me an updated photo of her just yesterday and already my  computer has eaten it.  Lizzie has been diagnosed with Prader Willi Syndrome.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prader%E2%80%93Willi_syndrome  This is a very serious genetic disease.  Lizzie needs our prayers; lots of them.  I am posting a picture of Lizzie and her big sister Addie.  (Mike, if you are reading this please send me another updated photo of Lizzie)

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers from Lizzie and her mommy and daddy, big sis Addie and from me, Aunt Beth.

Please, stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  17. Oh, Beth, I so wish there was more that we can do to help. But God is good and Jesus said "wherever two or three are gathered in My name, there will I be also." With all of you friends joining with you and her family in prayer, good must surely come. Such sweet little girls. We care and hope to soon have good news and a new picture. Take care and know that we care. Hugs! Bertie

  25. How upsetting for everyone! The last sentence of the description of this affliction is encouraging: "With behavioural therapy and other treatments, the effects of the syndrome can be reduced."

  32. Hi Beth, do you remember Curiosity who used to be on live spaces and here? Her daughter had a little girl, Isobel, who had some problems, well she's around 3 now and has really blossomed, so take heart, and I'm sure you'll get another photo. X
