Go Cardinals!!!

St. Louis ace Adam Wainwright

(Jae C. Hong / Associated Press / October 13, 2013)

I do love the St. Louis Cardinals!    http://www.pjstar.com/free/x1155177398/Depleted-Dodgers-to-face-Cards-ace  Here’s hoping they go all of the way!!

****************************************************

A chilly morning as the temp dipped into the upper 30s.  There was patchy frost on the ground between my back door and the cemetery.  Just a harbinger of things to come.  I am really not ready for that.

I have some errands to run which include the pharmacy.  I had planned to go to the post office to mail a package but it is closed today.  It’s funny but I don’t remember having Columbus Day  off when I worked in Civil Service.  Maybe I did and I don’t remember it.  Smile

Have a good week.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. Well since my Brewers really hit bottom this year, I will root for your Cardinals.

Not ready for the cold either. It really bummed me out to have to put on y heavy coat to take Oreo out in the morning. I would like a nice Indian Summer now, and until Dec 24, lol.

    1. My dad was a huge Cardinal fan too. I can picture him in my mind right now, sitting on a lawn chair in the front yard listening to the Cardinal baseball game on his little transistor radio. One of my happiest memories.

  8. I seem to be loyal to the team where I live. I grew up with the Padres. Then in Minnesota, it was the Twins. Now it is the Mariners. Our Mariners used to be really good but not that great recently. I do like those red birds. :) Bertie

  13. Hi Beth, I am looking forward to your countdown to spring :) we have heavy snow falls predicted for November and the coldest winter for 100 years, wow, as I am not 100 yet, it will be colder than I have ever known, if it happens. I don't cope to well with winter. I am hoping they have got it wrong.

    Take Care - Hugs Nita
