Did you ever…

dream of winning the lottery and playing over and over in your mind how you would spend the money if you won??  No reason to ask this as I rarely buy a lottery ticket.  I will buy a ticket if the Power Ball or Mega Millions gets way up there in the hundreds of millions.  I have no idea what the payout is on the lottery games right now, because as I said I don’t follow the lottery.  But it is fun to dream and since it is the holiday season I am dreaming.  What would you do?  Here is what I would do.

Number one for me is the American Cancer Research.  I have lost so many loved family members and friends to this dreaded disease.  Since I am battling it  myself now it looms ever important.  Next I would give a good portion to Mainstream Services, a center for handicapped persons (children and adults) who are mentally and physically challenged located in West Virginia  and co-founded by my niece Dee .  Dee gave up her career as a high school Special Ed teacher to do this.  And the list goes on, probably to include a house of my own again, washer and dryer, water softener and a two car garage.  LOL  I have sung that song before I do believe.

I ran the vacuum and put out some Christmas decorations yesterday and it took a lot of Aspercreme last night to get my muscles to settle down.  While I was cleaning yesterday I found a couple more shards of glass in my living room.  All I have to do is shut my eyes and I can imagine my kitchen window breaking  and my being right there in the path of the flying glass.  I thank God each day that I was not at home.

I am still trying to fight off this bug that has grabbed hold of me.  It doesn’t seem to want to let go.

Have a lovely peaceful day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

Been almost ten days sick here and I am still blowing and coughing a lot. Hope yours goes away quick I know that a shock to ones system can sure make it go out of whack and your tornado sure sent yours into a spiral fast. Prayers for you daily dear Sis..you are cherished by us all.. XOXO

  4. I dream about it all the time. I have always said I would give 90% away to charitable causes. I stick by that number. After all, that would make me incredibly happy. And also, the 10% left for me would let me get some goodies for myself :)

  6. Your dreams are such good ones that I hope you win! Do be careful...sounds as if those glass shards could be popping up from time to time. Soemtimes it is good to know that God has been protecting all along. (I'm not that my nerves could handle knowing every time. = )

  10. I rarely play the lottery and I don't follow what's going on, however I would rather play when the jackpot is lower as less people will play and the odds of winning, as low as they are, are a bit better. In reality it would make no difference to me if I won 5 million or 100 million.
I know what you mean about the glass. I lived in an apartment building about 10 years ago and there was a fire on the first floor. I was on the third floor and had just awoken, walked into the living room and somebody banged on my door a yell "Fire!" I quickly put some clothes on, took a deep breath, opened the door to a corridor filled with smoke, found the stairs and blindly made my way to the door. OK here's where the glass bit comes in.. The firemen had broken the glass on the first floor for ventilation, soon after, the second floor. I was on the third floor and sure enough the broke my picture window. Long story not too much longer, when I got to move back in, though they had cleaned everything up, I would find little bits of glass every now and then.
I should have made this my next blog!

  11. Beth, I am praying for you right now. I would love to see you well . I always thought I would go to Boystown. That's the first people I ever donated too. But I am like you, I would absolutely help all I could. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  12. it is fun to dream! There are so many people I would love to help.... How are you feeling doing Beth?

  13. I have a lot of people I would like to help too. But one thing I think would be fun to do is invite all the people I know (blogger friends too) to meet at a hotel somewhere and have us all meet and just have a fun time together. I'd pay for EVERYTHING!! Travel expenses, food, lodging, the works.

My husbands sister really did win the lottery about 25 years ago now. They won 4 million dollars!! They bought a new house, new cars and I really don't know what else they spent their money on.

  14. I've never purchased a lottery ticket, but I dream about all the money I could give away if I were uber-wealthy. I'd want to help shelters and humane animal rescue services.

    Love,

  18. Beth, you are such a kind and good-hearted person. Our internet has been down for several days so I am back catching up on blogs tonight. Hope you have a good week as we go into the Christmas season!

  19. Yes, I have dreamed too. I also don't participate. I used to tease that I would start playing because the price of the ticket was charity for someone who needs the money. But I never believed it. My first thing would be to set up an ongoing scholarship with both my University and my husbands. Then I'd do something special for our church family. Then I'd give some to each of our favorite charities that we used to give to when we were working. Oh well if I don't play, I can't win or lose. I hope you have a really special wonderful Christmas, Beth, and be healthy. Bertie.

  20. Never thought about the lottery or any other form of gambling, I don't even buy a raffle ticket...but that's just me.
Haven't commenced my Christmas decorations as yet, will leave it a few more days as have two houses to do.

  21. I've often thought about what I would do if I won a ton of money. First things...bills and help family. Lastly, make our animal shelter better.
