February, It’s goodbye and so long to you….

“You can send me pretty flowers
You can send me valentines
Send me letters every day but it won't pay
Bend to my desires nothing else will do
It's goodbye and so long to you.”

A verse from one of my favorite songs composed and performed by Mac Wiseman.

Goodbye February, you have not been a very friendly month.  You followed January which was even worse.  March is set to roar like a lion with much snow and frigid temps.  But you all can not get me down because it is only 19 days till spring.

I finished the Susan Wiggs chronicle on my Nook.  It was 835 pages which took me parts of 3 days to read.  She is an excellent writer.  I have read several of her books and she is normally not a historical romance writer.  835 pages is enough romance for me.  I am ready now for a good old murder mystery.  I need to check Amazon because I think John Sandford has a new book coming out this month.

My niece is coming for lunch so I need to quit thinking about snow storms and bitter cold and zero temps and get busy.

Have a peaceful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. You got that right Beth. Good riddance to February. Bitterly cold here now as I get ready for a late shift. Snow on Monday. I hope I have it off.
835pages in 3 days. That's pretty impressive! I have a book that received for Christmas and it's about that long. At this point I don't know if I have the energy to start it. Stay warm Beth.

  3. Not sad to see Feb going....March is bound to be better! Finally we are getting some rain---thank goodness for that! Even though it does interfere with my tennis, we really need it. Enjoy your reading---I'm into the Jack Reacher series (mostly murder mysteries and adventure) by Lee Childs. Great fun and excellent writing!

  8. I am glad to see February go too. I can read all kinds of good things then I always have this silly hankering for a murder mystery. I chuckled to read that.
Have a delightful day and stay out of that cold, cold weather.

  9. Beth, Too funny girl, I was saying good-bye to Feb. on my post today also.:) We are to get 6-10 inches of snow starting this weekend. Gaa. I sure hope it'
s an over prediction. I think some people will need two new snow shovels before this all over. Now even sunny California is in for some tough times. This has got to be one of the worse winters ever. Have a great time today. Take care of yourself. xoxo,Susie

  14. Look at that teen numbers until spring! We still have snow falling and remain under a winter storm warning...it's a good thing that doesn't effect the countdown!

  15. That spring count could fool me. Eight hundred plus pages in three days? You're killing me!

  16. I have a feeling that just because the calendar is going to say it's spring, spring is still another month away. : )
We had minus 10 here this morning.

That's a lot of reading in just a few days!!

  17. I love the header at the top of your page. It's so beautiful and makes us think of Spring. Starting to snow now - 3 inches tonight and more tomorrow afternoon. I posted a new blog post on my blog today, if you get a chance to read it.
