More snow…

last night, about 3 inches which filled in the sidewalks and driveway again.  I had cleaned my car off yesterday and today it is covered again.  It is 19 degrees with a pretty good wind  so there is a wind chill again this morning.  It is 32 days on the countdown till Spring.

I was asked by one of my commenters if I had a Nook or Kindle.  I do have a Nook.  My brother got it for me a couple of years ago for Christmas.  I have well over 100 books on there.  I much prefer holding a book in my hands although I turn to my Nook when I have nothing else to read.

Most of the newest books for the Nook run $14 and up through Barnes and Noble online.  If I am going to give that much for a book I would just as soon pay a bit more and get a real book.    I also could order books to read on my iPad but I don’t like the thought of that at all.  Mildred asked what kind of books I liked to read.  I LOVE murder mysteries with a little bit of romance thrown in.  Not too much, just a little bit!  My favorite authors are John Sandford, Lisa Jackson, Lisa Gardner and Phillip Margolin.

Have a blessed peaceful Sunday!  Stay safe and be happy!!

  1. I read on all three...kindle, iPad, and books. Have about 200 on kindle most of the free, and the rest less that $5.

  4. We are completely alike in wanting the feel of the book in our hands. Paper..turning pages looking back..I have no desire for a nook or ereader of any kind.

  5. this must be a wonderful option when you are snowed in as you can just "get" a new book without ever leaving the house!!

as for the title's of your posts.....i was thinking all you have to do is "copy and paste" ;)

  6. You just HAVE to warm up soon! No e-books for me. I like the feel of a book and always have one or two handy - mysteries of course.

  7. Keep warm and not long to go now for your spring!
I use a Kindle, don't read books on my iPad even though I have several on there, once in awhile I buy a paper book if not available from elsewhere.

  8. Won't spring be a welcome relief when it finally comes. A good book is good company for those long winter days.

  10. I like holding a book in my hands too. For many years, I read out loud to my mother and we LOVED murder mysteries....as mama would say "good, clean murder mysteries!" Have you ever read Phyllis Whitney books. They are good. Our local library has all of hers.

  13. always a book for me Beth, tho' there seems so many you can download onto Kindle/Nook .... I seem to have a backlog of paperbacks growing in the corner, but seems I've lost my book-mind for the moment, it will return, then I will be 'lost' to all, delving into other worlds. and only re-appearing to take breath!! :-) hugs to you, and Spring? Near? never!! :-) xPenx

  16. I like a real book. My eyes get too tired if I read online in addition to blogging and editing.

  19. I had a nook but I went to the doctor and had it removed. Seriously though, you are more technologically advanced than I am. I'm lucky that I can work my computer as well as I can. I'm having a problem posting video's on my blog.
I'm writing this on Tuesday at 5:50 p.m. and the snow is just finishing up around here It was not an enjoyable 30 mile ride.
Sorry. This is turning into a letter.
    Ciao Beth! You're the best!
