Work is still being done at the apartment complex down the street from me that was damaged during the tornado, I think the roof is pretty well done now and they are working inside.
The date of the tornado 17 November 2013.
Catty corner across the street from me. They have cleaned up the mess and patched up the roof but no major repair done yet They are living in the house,

I have been a bit depressed now and I have recalled these sights to help me remember just how very fortunate I am. Thank you God!!
I am off to a doctor visit this afternoon. I hope you all have a good day. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Such devastation all around you. I am thankful you were safe. God bless your appt. this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI feel so for those people. Too have to start over again is a long haul. So happy your weren't affected anymore than you were.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how terrifying it must have been to be in the tornado. Thankful you made it through it all.
ReplyDeleteI think day light savings time should be done away with, I can't believe it will be happening in just a few days!
I forgot you had those right across the street - you were blessed.
ReplyDeleteYes, those photos provide a lot of perspective. Are you taking that doctor cookies?
ReplyDeleteHoping for a good report from the doctor!
ReplyDeleteHow terrifying it must be to experience a tornado! It has been a difficult winter to do outside repair work.
xo Nellie
It is amazing how this devastation continues....I am so heartbroken for all of those effected....how important that you share these stories. Where to begin? Stay happy Beth......warm sunshine is right around the corner!
ReplyDeleteHoping for great results from your doctor appt. Stay warm and well..we are blessed to have you still with us. Prayers always for you. XoXo
ReplyDeleteDevastating, Beth! It is very cold and windy today here in Montreal.
ReplyDeleteYes, you were blessed to have been safe during that tornado! Never forget that when you are down and out. It will give you perspective as to what is REALLY important in your life. Hope all is well at the doctor's. Stay positive! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeth, the best of luck at the drs. You are way stronger than you realize. It is shocking about the damage, and how long it takes to fix things when the weather is bad. Take care, stay warm, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, Hope you doctors appointment goes well and your depression lifts. Hugs Nita.
ReplyDeleteYou have had EXTREME weather! Hope spring brings you warmer temps:)
ReplyDeleteit truly does put perspective into our lives to see such loss and devastation.
ReplyDeleteYou've had such a long winter. No wonder you feel down.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Such good news to hear that Marc is home. Praying that your doctor appointment goes well this afternoon. I'm not liking the weather or the weather forecast at all! Maybe the forecasters will be wrong. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteit so easy to feel sad during the winter and with all you have been through in the last year. i hope you feel joy soon. i think the warmer weather and pretty flowers will help. i also hope the dr. appt. went well!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing that you were safe.. such horrific photos of the devastation. Flooding here in UK has made hundreds of people homeless.. we are so blessed as apart from a water logged garden, we were fine.. Like you I can't wait for spring. I already have spring flowers blooming in my garden. We have daffodils and it is not yet March, if the world wanted to know if there is global warming, they should have asked us gardeners and we could have told them, that spring growth gets earlier every few years. And the consequence of it, is this wild weather we're having!
ReplyDeleteBlessings Chris x
Pray that Spring will serve you well and no more disasters to you or your neighbors
ReplyDeleteLove x.
Hoping for you hab good report from the doctor. And warm sunshine coming to soon.
ReplyDeleteLove
Michiko
WOW! I never had to live through anything like that! Though it's sad to see what happened to all those homes I am so glad that you are alright.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Marc is home.
It's cold right now and Friday morning it will be around 0. At least I won't be leaving me house for work at 5 a.m. on that morning. It should be a much more palatable 8 or 10 degrees when I leave.
Potential big snowstorm Sunday into Monday. C'mon June 1st! Time for M.V.! I CAN'T WAIT!
Hey I just wrote a blog!
Nice to hear that Marc is back home.
ReplyDeleteSo much damage - yes, it sure puts things in perspective.
Hope you get on alright at the Dr...well I guess it was yesterday :) time difference if I have got it wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that Marc is home but not the best if the cause of illness wasn't found.
Must be depressing for those people in those houses not having their homes repaired totally, but can understand it not being done due to the weather.
SO glad Marc is home. I have not forgotten. The homes that were so badly wrecked...it is so sad to see. Thank goodness some of the work is done. I'll call after my own Dr. visit tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteStill amazing what Mother Nature whipped up in the middle of November! This sure has been a wicked weather season since then too! No wonder we are all a little depressed. Hopefully spring decides to make an ealry appearence! Say warm!!
ReplyDeleteWow you had a lot of damage in your area from the tornado. I lived in Oklahoma as a little girl and still suffer from anxiety that started with tornado sirens going off in the middle of the nights. We spend a total of seven years in Nebraska and Illinois too, but never had as many tornados as we had in Oklahoma. I hope your doctor visit goes well and that you can feel a little more hopeful tomorrow. Have a good one.
ReplyDeleteI love the flowering tree at the top of this page. It reminds us that spring is coming soon. Good to hear that cleanup and repairs are underway. What an awful thing to live with in all of this cold. Hope you doctors visit went well. Bertie
ReplyDeleteThe warmth and extra sunshine of spring will be a welcome change for you. Stay well.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth good luck at the Doctors , hope all ok with you. I do hope the work continues to put back these little apartments very soon , must be quite and eye sore at the moment. Praying for a beautiful Spring.
ReplyDeleteTake Care hugs Sheila x
So glad that Marc has been released. I hope they are able to give him a definitive diagnosis soon. And I hope the damaged homes and complexes can be repaired soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, you were so lucky!
ReplyDeleteI hope Marc will be okay now. He has had lots of people praying for him. Sorry they couldn't find out what it was.
Good luck with the doctor visit, too. :)
